i upgraded a few days ago, and WOW! i'm loving it! you can highlight parts of a recipe and just "set" them as ingredients, directions, nutrition, etc. instead of putting them into each section yourself. this saves LOTS of time with the ingredients list! there seems to be a lot of new stuff going on...anyone else upgrade? blazedog perhaps? :D

Thanks for the alert as I hadn't visited the site recently so didn't know there was an upgrade available.

A lot of nice features which I have just started exploring -- so glad there is finally the ability to display multiple recipes as it makes it easier for me to compare and choose. The pantry finder is kind of neat and the new Searchlight seems to make it easier to find recipes -- there seem to be new and improved ways of locating recipes but I haven't begun to explore the different methods.

For anyone with a MAC, I highly recommend this program.

You can download the program -- or try a demo from the Adventio home site

http://www.advenio.com/macgourmet/index.html

It's a little hard to find the correct page on the apple.com site, but the best way of finding software for MAC's is just searching the Apple database on this page -- If you put in "recipes" for example, a bunch of programs will come up.

Thanks for the link. I just tried to download from the advenio link (on my own) and my Mac seemed to go crazy! Yikes! Everything I've ever done or seen on my Mac seemed to pop out of my toolbar! Knocked me off my chair! Is that MacGourmet? If it is, I'll bet it even cooks the food, eh?

when i opened the older version a few days ago, i got a notice saying 2.0 was available. i was so excited! i haven't played around with it much yet, but it seems to be much more user friendly now.

shop'ncook? macgourmet? cookware deluxe? which is the best for me to use on my new imac? shop'ncook looks really good. macgourmet is a little cheaper, but sounds like the same features. help! please! :)
