Congratulations to ourthreegirls who got a whopping 6/10 of the College Sports questions correct in 28 seconds! She admitted to guessing on all of them--did you buy your lottery ticket yet?

Saturday's topic: English--such things as synonyms, antonyms, usage, alliteration, acronyms, mnemonics. There are 225 questions in this pool (compared to over 900 in the sports pool yesterday).

This is one I don't expect to do well in. But then, I've yet to do well. :)

Just a reminder, if you play after 11:00 p.m. CST, make sure you link from the daily thread for the next day!

8/10 - not bad. I would have had 9/10 if I hadn't fallen into one of their traps.

I put part of that in white text in case it gave away too much.

Quite a bit of guessing on that one, though.

But I prefer to say "educated guesses" rather than "lucky answers". :D

Whoa, that one was tougher than I thought it would be! Still 8/10 is not bad, but there was some educated guessing here too.

AArgh! Twice I changed a right answer to wrong!:eek: But I must say, I enjoyed this one more than the sports!:D

8/10, but the two I got wrong were totally guessed - uneducated guesses it seems :p

8/10...not too bad. The two I missed were both guesses, so I guess that's why I'm not a good test taker. I can't do that whole process of elimination thing!:D

6/10 - i had changed 2 of my answers, and the originals ended up being right. oh well.

And the moral of the story... don't change your answers. If I hadn't it would have been 9/10 but instead was 6/10. :mad:

7/10 and I too changed two correct answers to wrong ones. I know better. Always go with your first answer! Fun games this time.

I made 3 complete guesses and 3 educated guesses (and I knew better than to second guess after reading this thread!).
I don't know how this happened.
I think I will go out & buy a lottery ticket. :D

9/10 - but would have been 10/10 if I had actually read the question correctly (missed the all important "not"). :rolleyes:
