Is there anyone in the San Diego area who would be interested in starting a supper club?

I'm interested in a supper club in San Diego (Tierrasanta area or otherwise central). My sister/brother-in-law in Sacramento participate in one and I've been looking how to make one work when the members have small kids.

Hello,
I don't love far from you. I am in Del Cerro. Are you saying that you have small kids and it's therefore hard for you to do?
My own are grown, so that is not a factor for me. I am certain there are many others who share our interest in starting a dinner club. We can keep promoting, and eventually (I hope) we will have generated enough interest. I belonged to one back east and it was so very much fun, that i would love to be able to do it again. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for your reply

I also have a small child, although I can get babysitting when I need to. I just received a reply from somebody named Kim who has a supper club that has 5 members right now. When they meet it includes spouses, so there are usually 10. They meet in the east county, which is not that far but I would like to stay closer if possible. Let me know what you all think. Thanks!

I just received a message from somebody in Scripps Ranch who would like to join a Supper Club. I will direct her to this post since she lives in the general area. I attended a supper club this evening and enjoyed it- a really nice bunch of people. They are maxed out at six members since spouses attend. I am more than happy to belong to two clubs depending on how often everyone would like to meet. I have a three year old and am open to having kids attend or not. Babysitting is not a problem for me since I have family in the area. If everyone is still interested I think there are enough to get this going. Just need to get everyone's opinion on kids and spouses attending, night of the week, etc.

I'd love to be part of a supper club. I live in Serra Mesa, very central (just south of Montgomery Field Airport). My children are grown and I have no spouse, but lots of enthusiasm. Has any group emerged from the posted messages?

I just spoke to a person who is interested and we are going to meet tomorrow (Tuesday 9th) at P.F. Changs in Fashion Valley at 11:45am for lunch to discuss the club. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome. Sorry for the short notice but I happen to have childcare tomorrow!
