I am having a wedding reception at my home in February. There will be approx. 40 people and I am looking for advice on what to serve. If anyone has any ideas/suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

Julie,
You will probably get better response if you post this query on the "Great Food" board. Good luck!

Here are a few ideas if you are cooking it or friends are helping:
appetizers: chicken satay, bruchetta, cheese, fresh fruits (can buy and prepare ahead of time)
main course. chicken Marsala(great flavors, and cook in oven and serve)
rosemary potatoes with garlic and olive oil
fresh mixed lettuce with toasted pecans, cranberries, and goat cheese,
Dessert: cheesecake (Prepared ahead of time.)
My husband and I had our wedding with a small group and really had a great time. Good luck! I will email you recipes, or you can go to recipes.com for them.
