After sitting in a conference all day, just across the street from the mall with the Lush store, I went--armed with a list from your recommendations. I got:

Buffy the Backside Slayer
Golden Slumbers bath bomb
S-E-X bomb
Dream Cream
Karma Kream
Blue Skies bubble bar
Black Pearl bath bomb
Rehab shampoo
Coolaulin Conditioner
American ream
Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo
Retread Hair Mask
Helping Hands cream.

You guys just need to leave me alone!!!! :D :D :D

It doesn't look like much on the list, does it? It did on my credit card, though!

You MUST try the freshly made masks! I was there today and I got myself some Cupcake. Also bought Mask of Magnaminty for my husband...and I got him some bath bombs (Ne Worry Pas and the Honey one) because he wasn't feeling good this morning and I felt like spoiling him. :)

I would just like to say that I am strong. I have never stepped into a Lush store. I refuse to pay mail order prices.

You will not break me. (Try, Bethany, try. I dare you.)

:D

And Cookin - good job! That's quite a haul!

FWIW, their mail order prices are cheaper than their store prices. I guess to make up for shipping. So it would not cost you any more to shop online. ;) :p

Oh, c'mon and join the fun, Erin! Lush is so wonderful! Their products are delicious! *SUPPOSEDLY*, the prices are higher in the shops than online because of the shipping fees. I choose to not really check out whether or not it's true.

I've never tried the masks. I LOVE the bubble bars and several of the ballistics. I also have tried several of the soaps. I'll get my annual trip to Lush in a little more than a month! I'm looking forward to it!!!

Cookin...ENJOY!!! :D :D :D

Seriously? It's more expensive in the stores?? Because I was thinking the online prices were a bit steep for me...

That's quite a haul, Cookin'!

Unless it has changed. When I made my first Lush visit a few years ago in SF, I had printed out a list of stuff I planned to buy from their website, so the prices were on the list. When I went to the store, I was surprised that the prices were higher in the stores that what was on my list from their website. They are definitely not cheap, but their stuff will hook you!

Actually, it's three days. I have two more chances to get in trouble!

OK, this thread has made me curious, but it doesn't sound like a work-safe thing for me to look up. enlighten me - what's Lush?

Teehee, I was wondering the exact same thing! I actually just stepped foot inside of a Sephora store. I am sooooo out of touch on some things  :o :p

Everything I've ever bought at Lush is the exact same price in the store as online (and I've been to a few different Lushes in different states).

It must just be their San Francisco store then (on Powell). When I was there about 2 1/2 years ago, almost everything I purchased in the store was more expensive than the online prices that were showing on my list, printed from their website. I even commented on it in a post back then:

http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?t=58440&highlight=lush

I had forgotten how MUCH more everything was in the store than online. I wonder if it has changed in the last few years. Or if it's just that store.

I have a Lush bag with a part of DH's Valentine's Day gift sitting on my desk, so I just did a price comparison. In the store (Macy's on Michigan Ave. in Chicago), a Mange Too massage bar was $9.45. On the web site, the same item is $8.95. So it is a little less on the web site.

There are so many things I would like to try! I've never been in a store, so I'm going by all of your recommendations. :D I wish they had a regular catalog that I could sit and peruse, rather than having to open each item online.

They do, Lauren! I'm sure you can call a store and request one if that's not an option online.

They sell Lush at Macy's now??

Thanks Canice! I tried online to order a catalog, but I'll call the store. I do have Macy's, too.

They have a Lush "boutique" at the Water Tower Macy's in Chicago, but I know they don't have it at all of their stores. (It's not like Clinique or Estee Lauder, where they have a counter in every store). They certainly don't have one at the Macy's in Champaign IL!

Omigosh, that makes me laugh out loud! You go with your bad (and apparently getting badder) self!
P.S. I have the actual lady holding the sign that says "Put your big girl panties on and get over it" sitting on my desk at work!!!:p
