Hi,
I'm interested in starting or joining a supperclub in Pleasanton, CA or anywhere in the East Bay. I travel during the week, but would be interested to participating in either a singles or couples club on the weekends.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I'm in San Ramon and I'd also be interested in a Tri-Valley supper club. I'm open to either week day, or weekend (although weekend would certainly be more relaxing for the host).
Let's see if we can't get a group together.

I live in Walnut Creek and am very interested in being part of a supper club. I hope that we can get a group together.

I just got back from a trip. I would be glad to organize a meeting at a local restaurant. Is anyone free next weekend?

Depends on when over the weekend. I'm free Saturday morning and early afternoon or Sunday afternoon.

That works great. Hopefully other people will respond this time.
Thanks for taking the initative.

Since I only heard from one of you, how about we pick a date a few weeks from now and give everyone a chance to reply? Is anyone free on Saturday February 10th? We could meet for dinner at The Basil Leaf Cafe in Danville. Let me know if that works for everyone. Otherwise, Sunday will work as well.

Sorry...I was out of town until today and missed your message. Yes, 2/10 at the Basil Leaf will work fine. Would it be okay if I brought my boyfriend along, or is this to be a girls-only thing?
Thanks,
Dolores

I think couples in the supperclub would be great. Even though my husband doesn't cook, he loves to eat healthy! Also, let me know if you girls are interested in either hiking or biking. I do both and am interested in getting a group together to hike the Pleasanton Ridge on Saturday mornings. It's only 4.5 miles and very relaxing. So far I have 6 on the reservation list for the 10th.

The hike sounds interesting...what is the pace (how long will you be hiking???). Regarding the couples vs. just women, I'm single, but I figured if you had a husband or boyfriend, they would be included.

Count me in for the supper club and hiking. I am married and living in Danville. It would be great to make some new friends in the area.

Okay, here's what I have so far:
jmkurts - 2 people
tbb113 - 1 person
dferrero -2 people
jdt - 1 person
Chickadee - 2 people
So I have 8 total so far. I have made a reservation for 7:00 p.m. at the Basil Leaf Cafe in Danville. The reservation is under the name "Backes".
We can discuss all of the details at the restaurant. If you can confirm just prior to the 10th, send me a message at trbackes@aol.com, so I can adjust the reservation, if necessary. See you then!

Thanks for setting this up... I'm really looking forward to it. I'm also interested in the hike/bike group, although I must confess I'm just a "beginner" bicyclist.
Looking forward to meeting you all on the 10th.

This group sounds interesting! I love to cook & both my husband & I love to eat. We also hike & bike (tandem).
Is there still room on Sat. 2/10 at the Basil Leaf? We belonged to a gourmet club many years ago & enjoyed it.
P.S. (2/7) - never mind. We will bow out.

Okay, we are all set for Saturday night at the Basil Leaf cafe. I have confirmed from a total of 6 people (as of today), including one message on my e-mail from tbb113.
So, we will meet at the Basil Leaf Cafe in Danville. The reservation is for 8 people, so if anyone else would like to join, come on over! I look forward to meeting everyone on Saturday. P.S. Bring your calendars with you!

It was great to meet all of you on Saturday... I think we're about to start something good here. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
Just wanted to let you all know I've set up our "Yahoo Group". To protect everyone's privacy, it is not listed in the public Yahoo area. If you drop me a note in email (d-ferrero@home.com)I'll make sure you get added to the list and send instructions to those who would like them.
Thanks,
Dolores
