Men's tall shirts (long sleeve)

My son is tall....about 6'1". He is slim and his arms are a bit long.

Where can I buy tall shirts in a large? I googled and everything is Big and Tall. My son has about a 31 inch waist, so he isn't big...

Any ideas? He likes casual long sleeve button up shirts, usually striped that he can wear out (not tucked) with a wife-beater t-shirt.

Any ideas on a company?

I buy DH's shirts at JCPenney in their big and tall section. Online they have selections for just tall and extra tall (http://www3.jcpenney.com/jcp/specialtynav.aspx?CatTyp=SIZ&DeptID=469&CatID=4395&cmCatLevel=3&cmCatID=469).

I have to shop for tall stuff for DH (36" sleeve length).

I'd suggest Penney's catalog, they sometimes have tall shirts (dress & casual) in their stores.

Also, LL Bean & Land's End. I've had great luck with them, too!

Both Land's End and Eddie Bauer can carry tall sizes. Orvis and Pendelton too. If you live in a warm climate though, Pendelton would be too warm.

I am exactly 6ft. and getting sleeves to fit can be a problem.

The Penney's Stafford Executive shirts also come in an Athletic Cut in some sizes that makes it a little narrower through the waist.

I was pleasantly surprised that I found DH tall shirts (he is 6'5) in Kohls.
They have dressy etc. I even found a 17-37 dress shirt very hard to find. And Kohls is close by. Before I got things at JCPenneys sometimes I find in Sears and LLBean Eddie Bauer has things for tall men.

I buy dad's at Eddie Bauer (he's very long waisted), but I'm not sure their style is what you are looking for (with a wife beater?).

My husband is 6'3" and very slim and Lands End shirts (Size Tall) seem to work really well for him. The tall sizes are, however, too long to be left untucked.

Men's Warehouse carries 36/37 inch shirts and I've been lucky and have found them at Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx as well. (Older son is 6'3", 18 inch neck, 36/37 sleeve).

Vanessa, Kohl's has tall sizes? Dh asked at the local store a couple months ago when they first opened and was told no. Guess I need to recheck. Thanks for the heads up!

Oh, and like others I usually buy from Penney's, Eddie Bauer, Land's End, and LLBean.

Check out The Territory Ahead-- they have tall shirts in Size Large and have great fabrics.

Yes Kohls carries many styles of shirts for tall men.. Theres flannel dress shirt and some very cute stripe ones for jeans etc cotton. Usually you will see a stick tag on the item saying for example large/tall.
I used to go to big and tall but more than big I need tall. (for dad & DH they are tall men)

My family is crazy-tall, and we are big fans of LL Bean. My Dad buys all his clothes from there (he's 6'7").

Even at Big & Tall, they have some items that are just Talls in various sizes.

Thanks for all your help! I will check it out. In case anyone doesn't know, a "wife-beater" is a tank top . I didn't know that is what they were called until my DD asked me one day..."When did DB start wearing "wife-beaters" I figured since she knew that is what everyone must call them.

Another vote for Eddie Bauer. Go to their online outlet - they are having their end of season sale right now. Their tall sizes are TALL - not huge (which is a problem I find with many specialty stores). They have a decent collection of button downs, and a lot are wrinkle resistant (DH and I both swear by them).

DH (6'4") usually goes with Eddie Bauer or Land's End.
