I brought home the best toy last night!
All my music is stored in my computer, which has a terrible sound system. I picked up Rocket FM (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/rocketfm/)which plugs into a USB port and transmits on a FM frequency to the stereo system. The reception is great; it also reaches the clock radio in my bedroom.

Ooooo....that is cool! You can have music on all over the house when you're cleaning or having a party. Kind of like having a wired house with a lot less expense.

Thanks for posting about this!

A GREAT Father's Day gift for DH.......I'll bet he's never heard of it..............

From their website page regarding where to buy. Might be a good idea to call around to see who has it.

US Retail Stores:
Apple Store | Bed Bath & Beyond | Best Buy | Circuit City | CompUSA | Fry's Electronics | J&R | Micro Center | Office Depot | RadioShack | Sam Goody | Staples | Target | Tweeter

Also, it doesn't mention on the website if it's Vista ready. Only mentions Mac and XP.

I have a stupid question. I abhor the NPR station we have access to. I would love to stream another station and be able to listen to it anywhere in the house. Would I be able to do that using this device? TIA. :)

If you go to http://www.npr.org/ there is a link down on the left to stream their programing. I would think that as long as your computer has web access and a fast enough connection to stream you should be able to use this device for anywhere.

Robyn is correct... it transmits any sound from the computer to the stereo.

I found it at Best Buy.

Yay for me! I have been streaming my favorite NPR station with no problem. I am so excited that I will be able to listen all over the house! OK, I'm a geek. :p

Thanks, Kayaksoup for posting about this product. :)

So, Linda. Do you still love your gadget? Father's Day is fast approaching and I'm still considering this as a gift.

Guess I'd better get this thing ordered if it's going to arrive in time!
