Memory Foam + Down Featherbed

For those who have Temperpedic/Memory Foam type of mattresses -- can one still use a down featherbed?

I think you would die of heat. The Tempurpedic gets all hard in the winter. When the mattress gets cold, it gets stiff. But then when you pile up blankets, it gets pretty hot.

I guess if you haven't had overheating problems, you could give it a whirl.
