Hello all. Just a quick question:
I purchased the MC 9.0 Software (this is my first MC purchase) and I would like to know how I can simply export a recipe from an online site (such as this one), right to my MC files?
I thought I read in the Amazon reviews that I wouldn't have to cut and paste and spend a lot of time trying to get a recipe from one place to another.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,

I don't have MC 9.0, so I can't answer your question directly, but there have been many, many threads on this BB about Mastercook, and doing a quick search will bring up many threads with lots of tips and advice for you. :)
Btw, Welcome to the boards!

Click on the green MC square on your toolbar. This opens up the web import bar. Highlight each field in your recipe, then click the approprate box in the import bar to your left. When you're all done, click "add to recipe list." Then add the recipes into MCook. The web-import toolbar is the cool feature of 9.0. I had a problem yesterday with MCook (started a thread & got help, in fact) and was frustrated with MCook; however, I really do like the program. Word to the wise: back up your MCook every single day, to a new filename (I use the date), sometimes to your hard drive & sometimes to a CD or DVD. If it ever crashes, you'll still have all your recipes (from yesterday, at least) in the backup. (Mine didn't totally crash, but you do need to b/u often, just for the protection.)
FIRST, however, create an "imports only" cookbook; add things into there only. If a recipe is corrupted or has a problem, you'll still have it isolated in there & you won't corrupt a whole cookbook.
Inspect the recipes into your "imports only" cookbook b4 you copy them into your "to try" cookbook and delete them from your "imports only" cookbook. Clean them up a little if needed (although I usually skip this step till I'm sure I like the recipe). Most importantly, perform a few searches in the "imports" cookbook only, for key words that you know are in your recipe(s). If the search function works fine with your new recipes, and toggling all over the place in your recipes works fine, then the recipes are OK and it's all right to move them into your "to try" book. If a recipe hangs on a search or shows other problems, it may be corrupted & you'll be glad you didn't mess up a good "to try" cookbook.
