I need to see if Directv has something like that where you can pick the shows before they start. Basically when I know the show starts I go in and just record all the first runs...but I hadn't even seen any promos, but then again we don't watch CW (unless Supernatural is on CW?) but i'm so far behind in viewing right now it's not even funny. We have 4 episodes of 24 to watch and one I think is 2 hours! :eek:

Oh and thanks for the link to read the recaps! I love the makeover episode so it looks like I found it just in time!

i got hooked with a marathon a few weeks ago when i was home sick for a week. so i started watching this season (wed. is DF's band practice night, and since Project Runway isn't on......) ;)

but tonight i forgot and at 8:30 i remembered and caught the last half. i'm mad that i missed seeing the makeovers!!

I really like it too, but when that whole CW UPN ABCDEFG merge went on my cable station decided not to carry the new network. The picked up the new station that took its place so I got to see Morgan Fairchild or Bo Derek (or someone like that who has blond hair and enjoys playing a not very nice women on TV :rolleyes: ) instead. After everyone complained they did bring back the other network but not on basic cable, you had to sign up for an expanded network to getit. So I am now Gilmore Girls and America's Next Top Model-less.

BTW they are also showing Australia's Next Top Model.

I am ashamed to say that I actually saw this on it's first run in Australia (it's a couple of years old). We are watching it now but it makes me cringe - the girls are so young and they're all such....scrubbers!! Trying to think what the American equivalent of a scrubber is.....:D

My favorites on the new season of America's NTM are Jael (such an interesting spirit and point of difference) and Deonne (love her new haircut!)

Oh man - I really thought that someone was going bald! In the previews last week they showed the scene of Ms. Jay saying, "Now that you don't have a hair on your head...." Well, he was referring to Jael's short cut - not someone being bald. Oh well. :D

Natasha is hilarious the way she makes everything positive, regardless of what it is. It reminds me of my mother!

I like Jaslene and I think her pictures have been great. I get really bugged when the judges talk about personality. She hardly seems void of personality so I don't know what exactly they're complaining about.

Renee really bothers me. I hate how she complains about everyone else winning challenges because it's "unfair." She really seems insecure, even though she tries to say that everyone else is insecure. She seems way too preoccupied with the other girls.

I guess Sarah would be my favorite right now. I think she takes great pictures even though I don't really find her that attractive. Like Twiggy said, she's very bird-like. But I always appreciate a girl who knows her stuff. I liked Melrose last cycle even though she bothered so many other people. I love that she knew so much about the modeling, fashion, etc.

Anyway, if there is one thing that annoys me about this show it is the word fierce. I hate it and I wish it would go away.

I don't like Renee either. With her around, you can't do anything right. If you win, she whines. If you act nice to someone else, she whines. What a troublemaker!

What I always wondered about in this show is the pictures they take. They always say that the model is not showing her neck/leg/nose but who picks the 'best' picture? What if there is another picture where those body parts are shown? Sometimes I think they are picking the bad pictures on purpose. And I have heard very few girls throughout the seasons questioning that.

Still, I love this show because those young ladies look so beautiful all made up, airbrushed and perfect. They are like art!

I think I remember hearing that Tyra looks at all their photos and picks the best one (with input from others I'm sure).

Watching some of them pose---if it's not one thing, it's another. Yes neck but bad face. Good face but bad body. Good face, good body, wierd arms. etc. I'm sure it's hard to get find one photo where it all comes together---especially here in the beginning. They think they are doing something like a model but it looks like they are sitting on a toilet (as Mr. Jay likes to say) or are too porno or too vacant. I think on most shoots, I've heard them saying they take like 20 shots? I know if I did it---i would look goofy in all 20 of them. My eyes would be shut in at least 18 of them for sure...
