Would anyone be interested in starting a Cooking Light supper club?

Yes, my husband and I would be very interested.
Yes, would be interested in a local area, Naperville supper club. Please keep me posted. I like trying new recipes from "Cooking Light".

Great! I have to be honest I don't know where to begin with this. Any suggestions?

It looks as if there are approximately 7 of us interested in pursuing this. I think we should keep it a nice small group. Would everyone like to meet in the near future to get acquainted? I know it will be tough around the holidays. should we schedule a day?

I like the idea of a small group, and I think we should all meet and get acquainted. How about at a restaurant? That way no one has to cook or plan for the event in their home.
I live in Villa Park, not as far west as Lisle and Naperville. Going to Lisle and Naperville is not a problem for me. If we get a supper club going, would all of you be willing to come to Villa Park? I hope so!

Briefly skimming other threads about clubs suggest just that: Meeting at a restaurant to discuss how best to proceed. I haven't perused them further as to what all is done (do we each make a particular course from each month's issue?, etc.).
With the holidays right around the corner, it'd be tough to get together. Weeknights aren't good for us & many weekend nights are tied up this month, but a weekend lunch would might work (or the rare night we're free!).

That'll work for us. Just where?
I don't think we all need to splurge at someplace like Allgauer's; perhaps Pancake Cafe or Egg Harbor? Somewhere else?
May I further suggest e-mail communication. I believe all of ours are posted in our profiles (that's the face/question mark icon immediately to the right of the posted date & time). I think we're all listed....

Since it is agreed that this month is going to be very hectic why don't we plan our first meeting for January. I know it seems very far off, but it'll be here before we know it. How does that first weekend in January look for everyone (January 8 & 9th). Brunch or breakfast might be a nice idea so as not to interfere with everyone's day.

The 8th or 9th works for us. Egg Harbor sounds good. I'm not familiar with Pancake Cafe, but we're flexible - just let me know where it is.

Since WendyLee's e-mail was not posted within her profile I am going to respond to the last message of meeting in January. I was actually looking at a 2000 calendar when I listed those dates. That first weekend is actually january 6 & 7. How about the 7th at Egg Harbor at 11 am? Where is Egg Harbor located? I will e-mail those that are interested but not on the posting.

Wendylee, Pancake Cafe is at 75th & Rickert, behind Ace, near the drivers services facility. You must try it!
Isabella, Egg Harbor is downtown (Naperville) at the corner of Jackson & Webster. Don't foresee any conflict w/the 7th.
Looking forward to meeting at Egg Harbor downtown Naperville 11 a.m. the first Sat. of Jan. 2001 as previously mentioned.

The 7th at 11 am at Egg Harbor in downtown Naperville sounds good. See you there.
