A quote from DS from this morning: "Mommy when is it going to be sunny again?".

I just checked the weather channel and they are predicting rain/clouds for the next 10 days!! YUCK!

The weeds are taking over my yard because I can't get out to get rid of them. The kids are cranky and bored because we just stay inside all the time. Mommy is VERY cranky for the above reasons!!!

I know that when it's really rainy & you're housebound & the kids are going nuts, everyone gets stir-crazy. Could you bake cookies together, or make a birdfeeder for when it's sunny again, or clean out the game closet, or things like that? I sympathize (but what I wouldn't give for that rain of yours!). My area is in the worst drought in 60 years, yet the developers keep building homes and retail. My supply lake is only about 65% full. We're on severe water restrictions that will last at least through 2008, and the surcharges for using more than a dribble just kill your budget.

Just hope this will help your perspective. :) I know you're going nuts, and I wish you luck! Wish I could borrow your rain; it'd make us both happy!

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about..... some years are worse than others, and this seems like one of those. Wed morning was wonderful, we were able to get out and do a couple hour x-c ski and it revived us. sun, blue skies, birds chirping, just as lovely as most days have been miserable. now sat looks pretty wet, and maybe there'll be some breaks sunday. I try to enjoy all the buds and flowers opening.

I hear you!

Victoria gets about half the rain of Seattle and Vancouver but this year has to be one of the wettest and coldest winter /early springs since we moved here ten years ago. Usually february is one of my favourite months-quite warm and dry but not this year.
The flowers are out the streets are lined with cherry blossoms in bloom but it is cool and wet.

I spend a lot of time outside at the track coaching this time of year. We have had maybe two workouts in the past few months where it was actually decent. :( More rain is on the way for next week I hear. :(

Poor mommy! We're at the opposite end of the spectrum. With the long range projection we could be headed for another dry spring. Not good in an area that averages 60" annual rainfall. Making things worse is the higher than normal amount of tree pollen in the air right now. A good shower would be most welcome.

Oh, I hear ya loud and clear!! We are moving back east this summer and I was talking to my 4yo about living in Virginia, and she asked "Do they have sun there?"

I have been housebound this week with a combo of sick kids and contractors (finally!!) fixing up our house. But this mama is about to snap big time! The electrical inspector gave me nice pep talk about taking care of myself when life is in upheaval so i am going to take his advice and run away from home for a few hours tonight.

I don't even look at the weather forecast anymore-too depressing.

We are breaking wet March records. Trapped inside, nothing to do but visit the BB (or succumb to the addiction and rewatch a few eps of Buffy).
Also, so hard on the spirit, that lack of sunshine.

I can sympathize - I hate that kind of weather. Without regular doses of sunshine, I begin to go a little crazy too.
