Supper Club in Kansas City???

Hi. I am a newly married, graduate student wanted to start/join a supper club in the Kansas City area. I live in Overland Park and want to learn how to really cook and meet new people. Is anyone interested in starting a club after the first of the year??? Please let me know!

Sqcolburn, hello, There is at least one group already in the works. I believe they have been meeting since Aug or Sept. I have not had a chance to go yet and have since mis-placed vital info...ie. phone numbers. I will try to find out more about it, or maybe we could even start a new one. I live in Leawood, and I know the other group varies as far as location. Their last get together was in Lee Summit. If we get anymore interests, we could organize a new one. I am newly married also, and I love to cook and entertain. This is something I would love to be involved with. If we need to start a new group, let's get going. Let me know if you and others are intersted. My husband and I live in Shawnee. We all seems to be in the area which makes things a little easier. Let me know if either of you want to get going.

a group with a least some other couples.
I also checked into the group that formed
last year, and at the time it was all women.
We live in Parkville, Mo. right now but I am
a former resident of Jo. Co. so I am very
familiar with the area. I think this would be a lot of fun!

Hi Deb! There are a group of us meeting on Thursday, Jan. 18th at PF Changs on the Plaza. Please let me know if you would be interested in meeting with us. It will be our first meeting to plan on how to get started. All but one women who has shown interest is married so we will talk about the possiblity of a couples club. I live in the Waldo neighborhood and would be very interested in getting involved with the supper club. I am married and know my way around the Kansas and Missouri side of KC. Thanks for your interest in the KC Cooking CLub. Presently our group is at 14 people and I put a group email out to see if people wanted to increase the group to 16. The only concern was having that many people at someone's house for dinner. I wanted to touch base with you, though, so you wouldn't think I didn't receive your message. I am also interested in a KC supper club. I am not young and newly married but older and divorced--single parent of two teens living in overland park. Couples group wouldn't work for me, but let me know if something else gets going.
