I found this at Target over the weekend and just made the cookies with my kids tonight. They looooooooooved it! I cannot recommend it enough. In fact, one of my 6 year olds told me when I tucked her in tonight "Mom, that was my most favorite thing I've ever done in my WHOLE life" ! :D Go figure.

Thanks for sharing this, what a fun idea! I usually make cookies from scratch but this looks like it takes a load off your hands and gives you more time to focus on fun. I'll be checking out Target for this tomorrow!

I love that line ......."Mom, that was my most favorite thing I've ever done in my WHOLE life.
I am visiting some friends and thought their kids might enjoy this. What is in the kit?
Thanks for the heads up. Looks fun.

It has a cookie mix to which you add 2 eggs and a STICK of melted butter  . (Honestly the cookies are unappealing to me to eat but who cares? They had a blast AND like to eat them...)
Anyway, after you blend the mix, eggs and butter, separate into 4 portions. 3 of them you mix a color (which comes as a little packet of powder food coloring) and one you leave plain. The colors are the primary colors, so you can mix those together to make other colors later on. FUN!
One word of warning...the cookies REALLY expand when baking. Don't be tempted to use lots of dough for one cookie creation because it will be one GINORMOUS cookie when baked.
Very cool. Thanks for the tip. My boys love making cookies and this would be fun for Easter break.

I went to Target today and couldn't find these. Were they in with the other Crayola stuff or were they in the food section?

The food section. In our Target, they were on an endcap near all the Easter stuff, but close to the freezer area too.
