Hi. We are going to a wedding soon in SAvanah and we are going to dinner the night before with another couple. Any great rest suggestions?

It's been awhile since I have been down to Savannah, but there are plenty of good restos there.
If you are looking for something really upscale, you might want to try the Pirates House or the Pink House (I think that is the name of it). There are also quite a few good places down on River Street.
Personally, I think I would pass on the Lady and Sons - my parents went there recently, and their reviews weren't that great. Too long of a wait - even with a reservation, food okay, but not great, etc..
Enjoy your stay down there!

My all time favorite place to eat in Savannah is Mrs. Wilke's - not sure if they serve dinner though....they may close after the lunch hour. But...if you eat lunch at Mrs. Wilkes, trust me, you won't want any dinner.

I COMPLETELY forgot about Mrs. Wilke's!!!!! YES, YES, YES.... IF you have time for a lunch, that is THE place to go.

We loved Elizabeth's. I think it was on 13th. It was in an old house and the food was excellent. It was fairly expensive, but well worth the money.

We were in Savannah a couple of years ago, and we had our anniversary dinner at Elizabeth's on 37th. It was wonderful -- well worth every penny!
We enjoyed every meal we had while we were in Savannah...I just checked the trip report I posted on another website when we got back, and we ate at Garibaldi's, Lady & Sons, Savannah Bistro, and a really fun tapas-and-jazz bar called jazz'd.
Oh, and Savannah Candy Kitchen is constantly making fresh pralines, and whenever you walk through the door, they give you a sample -- even if you just walked through the door 10 minutes ago :D. If you like pralines, make sure you visit! (We bought A TON to bring back home for ourselves & as gifts so we didn't feel too guilty about the free samples.)

I was in Savannah a few weeks ago for an interview and they took me to Alligator Soul for dinner. It was great! In was in the historic district, near a post office. I can't remember the street, but it was between Oglethorpe and the river.
My husband and I got married two years ago in Lafayette Square and celebrated our marriage with dinner at Elizabeth's. It is fabulous and well worth every cent!!
