So, Coca-Cola is launching a new Coke this month that has no calories, but does have vitamins and minerals. Mmmmm, this should be interesting.

See details here. (http://www.thecoca-colacompany.com/presscenter/nr_20070322_dko_plus.html)

What doesn't have vitamins and minerals these days? Sheesh, we're going to become not only the most obese nation, but the one with the most unnecessary supplements/vitamins/minerals coarsing through our bodies (if we aren't already).

When is it going to be too much?

When is it going to be too much? Now! Right now! I don't need my DC to have vitamins -- I take enough of them without that. They need to lower the price, not claim more shelf space for drinks (like Coke Blak) that don't have a widespread following... jmo!

It just stunned me when I saw the article on it. I just wanted to clarify too that when I said it would be interesting I was talking about the "discussions" on it, not the taste ;)

I know this is a bit off-topic, but I love Coke Blak. I find it so yummy.

Personally, I don't drink Diet Coke (or any diet soda for that matter). Adding vitamins and minerals won't make me do so now. I think it's gotta be a marketing ploy to get people to think they're actually doing something good for their bodies by drinking it. It gives people the okay to indulge. Cause, you know, none of us can figure this stuff out on our own.
Sheesh. These big companies that think we're dense...

Would someone please tell me what "Coke Blak" is?:o

TIA!

I haven't seen it here in Columbus but according to the web site it's Coke with coffee essence.

Coke with vitamins? That is interesting, it's the first I've heard of it.

On a similar note- One of my coworkers has recently become obsessed with Aquafina Alive- it's a flavored water with vitamins. I get tired of drinking plain water all the time, so I was excited to stumble upon this- has anyone tried it?

There must be something wrong with me -- I can't abide the flavored waters that have no sparkle! Must be all the years of drinking soda...:o
