I am the mother of 21 month old twins and am interested in starting a supper club in the Herndon/Reston/Fairfax/Oakton area. I love to cook especially light dishes, but never seem to have enough time. I think a supper club is a great way to try new dishes and meet others who share my interests.

Lisa,
21-month old twins? No wonder you have no time to cook. I, too, am the mother of young children (a 2 year old and a six week old) and would love to get a supper club going in this area. I live in Vienna/Oakton.

If you check under the topic "Supper Club in DC" posted by JNewman, you will see that a big group from the DC area is getting together on the 28th to start something. It is likely that the big group will break down into little groups by area. I live in Reston and there were several other postings from people in Herndon and Fairfax - keep checking the "Supper Club in DC" thread for updates. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

dear lisa, I too, love to cook , however I don' t know how this system works on Cookinglight. I am including my e-mail because I would love to hear from you if you have any info on where and when the club will set up. Please write back if you know anything, as I have not heard from Cooking light directly. My address is sanitate@erols.com. Hope to hear from you soon. Patricia.

Lisa,
My wife and I live in Herndon with our 16 month old son. We would be very interested in a S.C. with other parents in our area. Please keep us posted on the progress.

Thanks to all who responded to my posting. We're having an iniital meeting on Wednesday July 26th at Don Pablo's in Sterling at 7pm to discuss our plans and see how many participants we have. Beth Reusch has arranged it (see her posting for Loudon County). She has invited interested folks from Loudon and Western Fairfax Counties(Reston/Herndon area). Please e-mail me at LBParisi@aol.com if you're interested.
