Sue -- Apparently I need your help. I tried to post my graphic, and nobody can see it but me. Either I'm crazy or I'm doing this wrong.
Here's what my code looks like (pretend the parenthesis are square brackets):
(img)http://www.icecreamheadache.8m.com/name1.gif(/img)
But it comes out like this:
http://www.icecreamheadache.8m.com/name1.gif
HELP!!

Let me try!
http://www.icecreamheadache.8m.com/name1.gif
Okay, it does the same thing to me. I think the font is not supported on this bulletin board. When I tried to go to http://www.icecreamheadache.8m.com it says "To display language characters correctly you need to download and install the following components: Pan-European Text Display Support"...so I'm guessing this bulletin board doesn't support the font.

Have you tried inserting another graphic? If you can get another to work, then I would say the problem is with this particular graphic you have chosen.
Sorry to butt in, I guess I should have waited for Mamasue to answer...

HOLEY MOLEY!!!
Now that I have posted...I CAN SEE THEM ALL!!!
Maybe you have to go to the website and that puts the font in a temp file or something...
HOW BIZARRE!

Ummm...okay...now they are gone again. I just posted a message for Nydia...then came back in to the bulletin board...and the graphics are gone. I still think it has to do with the font used in the graphic...

LoriL and Deanna,
Hello there chickies! I see your graphic fine....Ice Cream Headache. Now as I am posting this reply if I scroll down to read the posts the graphics are gone (little white box with "X"). What gives! I noticed that when I post a graphic it is fine and then when I go back at another time during the day or at on another day, the graphic is gone and shows this little white box. I keep thinking there is a "graphic gremlin" eating them all. Hmmmmmmmm. This is strange because we are following the html code required for this BB.
LoriL...try another graphic from here:

Now as I close this reply...lets see if the graphic comes back. Cross your fingers! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Okay...I left the BB and came back in again and the graphic is not showing. It has to be a glich with this BB. LoriL...you applied everything correct. Just one note though...becareful what you borrow for graphics. Owners of websites don't like it when you borrow their graphics that are used as beautifying their sites. If free graphics are offered they will tell you and provide them within their site. There are mounds of sites out there that offer free graphics. If you want a list of them to get you started let me know and I will post some.
Maybe Maelynn will stop by and give us a clue on what is happening.

He IS cute! And if he's Lorilei's creation, I'll bet that he's a good cook too!

Omigosh. Maybe we should rename this thread "Twilight Zone." Deanna, I hate to say this, but your graphic, which I saw this morning, has now disappeared, both in your original post and in Natasha's quoatation of it. Lorilei's monkey is still there, though, shaking its head over all of this.
Gulp. Something weeeeeeird is going on here. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif

V. funny! So he's got a tummy ache, does he? Is he also suffering from an ice cream headache?! (Sorry - just HAD to ask...)
Oh, and don't forget to give him some ginger tea! (But NO RICE PUDDING.) http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Not that this has anything to do with this thread--BUT--
On the idea of serious comfort food (crappy, processed food that takes away the doldrums) I have been obsessing about Pepperidge Farm cakes!!!! I have't had one in probably 15 years, but I am on day 2 of this obsession, which means it WILL be realized at some point.

Love the monkey and the "ice cream headache"! As a computer idiot, I just enjoy them when they show up and move on if they don't (Love those IT guys at work who show up and do that voodoo that they do when my computer doesn't work). You gals are real "renaissance (wo)men -- interesting, well-spoken(or at least well-written), good cooks and computer jocks (jock-ettes?) I love you guys and I love this board!
