I'm trying to get a sense of how bad this weekend's storm has effected your area. The reason I'm asking is that my son and his highschool baseball team are on a bus heading back to NY this morning and should be in your areas about now. (8:22 AM).
They were supposed to be back here at 12 Noon yesterday, but their bus broke down Saturday afternoon and they ended up waiting till 5 PM yesterday for another bus! On top of that, my son called yesterday morning and said he wasn't feeling well (sore throat, stuffy nose).
I'm just concerned about the roads in that area right now - I'm expecting them about noon today, but don't know for sure....
TIA!

I'm right outside Philly and it looked like 95 was backed up pretty good. The roads seem fine, just wet and slushy but the traffic is awful.
I hope he gets home safely!

What roads are they traveling?
I'm probably further west than he'd be traveling?
Anyway, there's just a dusting now, but they are calling for more. Not doing much of anything right now - just cold and windy - yuck!

Well, NJ is under a State of Emergency. Schools are closed in my area and 50 major NJ roads are closed or partially closed. Some roads are wet, some flooded, others full of slush. It's crazy! It's very windy and fluctuates between rain and snow where I am. We just got our cable back. I think 50,000 people are without power right now. Is it really mid-April?

Wow! I had no idea.......guess that's what happens when I don't ever turn on the news..............
Stay dry and safe!

Thanks! I had to get my news from the radio this morning. How odd it felt not to have tv or internet use for half the morning!

Satelite tvs were all out, luckily we have one tv not hooked up to the satellite so we were able to get some news. We have two trees down in our backyard but nothing else major. It would have been a good day to stay home!!

I got a call about 10 to 11 that they were nearly home. I'm so relieved. I think he's really glad to be off the bus and home where he can rest up and get well.
Everyone be safe out there!

Barbara, glad to hear the bus got back ok!
The Weather Channel is here in town... that's never a good thing. Hard to tell how much snow we've gotten since it's so wet & heavy but I think we're approaching a foot. Got some broken tree branches on the ground but they might be ones that were already broken that just fell down. Most of the schools are closed here & those that didn't close are sorry they stayed open.
Everybody stay warm & safe!!

Barbara, thank goodness! It's brutal around here. I was surprised to see my town on the Philadelphia News (Action News, WPVI). It's flooded and just a mess. I'm wondering if school will be closed or delayed tomorrow.
Stay indoors if you can. Barbara, glad you can relax now!
