Since the purpose of this space is to help people connect perhaps this is not the place to post this, but I didn't know where to post it. We've had a club (seven couples) for almost two years now and I wanted to share some of our themes. We are big on fun and not just food, though that is an added bonus.
1. picnic (Everybody brought food in baskets and we ate on the floor. This was especially fun because it was in winter.)
2. 50s (We took everyone's menu item and assembled it on TV dinner trays. Then we ate in front of I Love Lucy.)
3. Luau (We are lucky to live on a lake so we motored across to an island.)
4. western (Everyone got to wear cowboy hats and eat corn.)
5. bonko ( We combined a simple meal with a night of games. Why not?)
6. 60s (Yes that right we got to be flower children for one night. This one was high on atmosphere. We fondued and drank cheap wine and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.)
7. Plus several country dinners such as Italian and Mexican.
