We're married, 30-something, no kids (yet), professional but poor. It would be fun to start a supper club with other D.C.-ites. I'm thinking about something pretty low-key and low-stress, where I wouldn't necessarily have to scrub the toilet before hand. If you know what I mean and it sounds good to you, send me a message! Thanks!

Hi. Before CL changed the bulletin boards, there were already some messages about forming a group in the DC area. Those who responded are meeting next week (6/28) to try to organize. Email me if you want more info.

Nancy-
I work Wednesday nights, but I'd love to be kept in the loop (unless that's the night you decide to meet on a regular basis). You can email me at maryejester@aol.com. Thanks!

Nancy,

I have an engagement next Wednesday, but my wife and I (both in our 20's, new to DC area, and no kids) would be very interested in being part of the club. We live in Falls Church, VA. Please keep us in the loop.

My fiance and I would like to join a supper club but are unable to attend the meeting tonight. We are 30-ish and live in Falls Church, VA. Could someone let me know what happens at the meeting and if there is a club forming in our area that we could be a part of?

Was the meeting at Lebanese Taverna cancelled last night? I was there and waited for 20 minutes, and never saw a group meeting up. I was looking for Anne with her red scarf and saw none. Would someone fill me in if they know what happened? I very much would like to be a part of the supper club if we can get it going! Please keep me in the loop! I live in Alexandria (Kingstowne area), but would be willing to be in any group in No. VA or DC.

Hi! I live in Southern Maryland, near Indian Head. I didn't see the info about the meeting until just today (drats!) but it looks like it didn't happen???

My husband and I (no kids, 2 dogs) would love to join a supper club (particularly if the group members are of the relaxed, fun-loving, family-oriented, unscrubbed-toilet set)! . Let me know when the next meeting is, I'd love to come.

There seems to be a good number of us who want to do this thing but didn't make it to the meeting (if there was a meeting). So... should we have a new meeting? How about next week, either Monday or Tuesday (7/10-7/11). What's good for you guys? And where? There seems to be a large Northern Virginia contingency. Somewhere in that area?

Yes, a meeting next week would be great! Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday would probably be best, just to give people some time to 'get back into the groove.' How about somewhere in Shirlington or Old Town? We should probably post on all of the DC-related boards to make sure that anyone who wants to get involved can do so! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

So, shall we say Tuesday, 7:00-ish, in Old Town? Anyone want to suggest a restaurant?

My husband and I are interested in joining a cooking club with other couples in their 20's (I see that a few people who have replied are in their 20s). We live in North Arlington. Let me know if anything comes of this.

Tuesday at 7 pm sounds good. Some resteraunt suggestions in Old Town include: Eccos (Italian - moderate$), Chadwicks (American - inexpensive), South Austin Grill (Tex Mex - inexpensive).

How about Eccos in Old Town at 7:30 next Tuesday (the 11th)? And lets do this - any and every person who would like to attend, please e-mail me by end of day Monday (the 10th) and I will make reservations. I'll then let everyone know what the reservations are under so that we can all meet up! I'll post this on the other DC-related boards as well. My e-mail is jenbasford@aol.com.

Hey!
I am married and living in N.Arlington. I would live to join a dinner club- are there any people interested (couples or singles) who live in Arlington?
