D.C. & Montgomery County

Hi, I know there is another group getting together next week from the Northern VA, area but I wanted to find out if there is any interest in a group gathering in the D.C./Montgomery County area? I live in downtown Silver Spring, am newly married (Sorry my hubby doesn't cook :-)!) and truly enjoy finding new,enjoyable and healthful ways to cook. If there is any interest, could we maybe meet 7/14, 7/18, or 7/19 at Chipotle Restaurant located in downtown Bethesda?

I am interested in gathering with you - my husband of two years is also not into cooking...sounds like a great idea. We are living in Alexandria right now, but will be moving to Maryland in a few months, so I'd like to get involved in a club that is in the upper DC/Maryland area......(my husband works in Silver Spring.)

Hi! I'm interested. I live in Rockville with a husband who is quite a picky eater and can't bring himself to try my concoctions. I'd love to share food and ideas with others. Out of the suggested dates I am available on 7/19 and Chipotle's is fine. Thanks for organizing.

Hi - I was happy to see others in the Montgomery County area who are interested in starting a Supper Club! I live in Rockville with my kitchen-challenged husband (actually, he can cook pretty well with some help!). I'd be interested in meeting on 7/19 at Chipotle's -- if someone could let me know where it's located in Bethesda, I'd appreciate it! Heather

Hi Everyone-

I am very excited about our upcoming meeting this Wendnesday, the 19th. I plan on being at Chipotle Restaurant at 6:30 pm, and will have on a periwinkle blue, sleeveless shirt. If you know of anyone else who is interested in attending, or if you hadn't previously posted a message, please know all are welcome.

Chipotle is located at 7600 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, and the number to the restaurant is 301/907-9077. I called the restaurant this evening, and they indicated that at 6:30 the restaurant should not be too crowded.

Hi Everyone!

I am happy to say we had our first Cooking Light Meeting and it was a success. We were able to agree on a few things, and thought we'd save more logistical subjects for our potluck. Items which were agreed upon include:
1)Our group is planning to meet on August the 20th at 4pm for a potluck.
2)If possible we'd like to keep the group to a maximum of 8 members (this way, we can actually "work" together in a kitchen, and lets face it - it's hard enough having 4 matching placesetting!)
3) Our potluck theme will be Asian food

Members in attendance were:
Peggy, Heather, Christine and me. I know from previous postings that Carol, Courtney, Lisa, and Cristal (via email) indicated an interest in joining as well. If you are indeed interested in joining, please post a response to this message, and we'll be sure to forward additional information to you.
