You should have been with Mcgeiger and I at the yarn store on Saturday, she scored a whole bunch of free yarn!
On the otherhand I was wondering how much Hammster usually pays for his threads. :p

I only buy on sale. :D
Somehow I created 2 Idyllwild threads, so this one became the free thread. This crazy board won't allow us to delete the very first message in a thread even if we are the creator of the message and the thread. Oh well, we get a free one with no constraints of a theme. :D

Hey, what is this about an absolutely free, no obligation thread?? I've got half a mind to report this as spam.
:p :D

:D It was a bunch of half balls with no labels!!!!!!:D
At least three were cascade 220, three were lamb's pride, and one was Noro silk!!!!--I think it was the only good thing that happened the last few days (except for hanging out with Robyn;) !)

Hey, Kelly, did you hear that we're under a freakin' tornado watch! Can't we get one calm season this year? By the way I've done about 2 inches of the blanket starting with the orange. :D Milo loves the new hobby cause he just sits on my lap while I knit. He hasn't gone after the yarn as much as the needles. :p How'd the cake do?

It's addictive isn't it?!? Guinness really, really likes my needles. I have to be careful or he'll damage to the point of not being able to use them.
The cake, wouldn't come out of the pan very well, but tastes fine. And everyone seems very amused that of all people in our class, I'M the one without an oven right now...

OK, what yarn store were you two at where you got free stuff?
I'm probably only about 2-3 inches from being able to start shaping the neck/shoulders on my sweater :)

Some place in Ft Collins where the store is in the carriage house of an old home. It's a great little shop. Wait, it's on the bag, it's called "My Sister Knits". I got yarn in orange, red, blue and green with a red multi-color for the boarder. I figure I've got all summer to get the blanket done since she's not due until September 22nd. Once I get it done I'll join the knitwits thread.

Eh, blankets don't have to be done by the time the baby is born so don't stress about it in case it takes longer than you think. I made a blanket for my sister last summer, and it seemed to take forever (it was done before the baby was born, but it was a shower gift, and was a month late for the shower :o ).
Join us on the knitwits thread - don't wait until its done! :)
If I'm ever up in that neck of the woods, I'll have to check it out.
