Some of you may remember that I was taking classes at night. You may have helped me with a paper that I wrote about diarrhea. Again, thank you for all your help. The paper was well received from my teacher.
I can't believe I was named Validictorian! Although I can't attend the graduation, and I already have my diploma, I wanted to share the letter of thanks that I wrote to the school with everyone here. Sometimes it's nice to hear some good news. :D

I am sorry that I cannot attend the graduation ceremony tomorrow night but I am helping my daugher get into the Running Start program at her high school and will be at a meeting at the same time. Feel free to share this during the ceremony as well as with Miss L, who was teaching the evening class when I finished and to Miss M who was my teacher for all but the last module.

I am surprised and proud to have been given the honor of validictorian. Because of my full time job I took the evening Medical Insurance and Billing classes. I have been at my present job for 20+ years and felt the pull to get training in another profession. It's very rare to be in a job anywhere for as long as I have been in mine. I feel that the medical industry is a safe bet for finding jobs anytime and anywhere. So, without hesitation I signed up. Five months wasn't to much time to invest in my future.
When I started I knew it would be a challenge but I never knew how hard it would be at times. The very first week I questioned my ability at least twice but I told myself that if my grades were ok, I'd continue as long as possible. Well, at some point during those months I decided that I had better do what I could to finish. That was all that I was looking for. Staying and then finishing with decent grades.
I am truly blessed to have had CM as a teacher for most of my time at B. She knew how to teach in a way that I really learned. I looked forward to her classes and can now say that I know something about almost every part of the human body. I have a good understanding of insurance and billing and I feel very confident in taking myself and my skills out into the medical field.
During all those months of classes I never worried about failing or getting the externship. I worked hard and stayed focused on my goal. With my own determination and help from the staff at B I stayed focused and achieved my goal.
Now that I am done, it is time to shift my focus to finding work that fits into my schedule. I am as determined as ever to make that happen for me. I want to make back the money I paid for school. =) I have now doubt that it will happen.
Congratulations to everyone for a job well done. Set your sights on your goal and then do everything you can to make it happen. And when you achive your goal, have a party because you deserve it.
