I would love to start a supper club with anyone in the Asheville, NC area. Like a lot of people, I don't always have time to try new recipes as much as I'd like. This would be a great opportunity to meet other folks interested in living well.

Hi, Steph
It might be years before I could join your supper club, but I couldn't resist writing you. We are coming to Asheville in July - our very first time - both to vacation there and to check it out as a possible retirement choice for us.
Do you have any advice/recommendations for our July visit?
Thanks!
Cindy

Hi there!
I'd love to join a local supper club. I've lived in Northern Hendersonville for the last two and a half years and miss the two supper clubs that I was a part of in Virginia before moving. We belonged to a club with 3 other
couples and rotated months at each home where you cooked the complete meal and planned an after dinner activity. I also was in an all girls club where we tried different restaurants each month and twice a year did hors d'oeuvres at a member's house. You can contact me if you are interested at sdaubert@juno.com.

My husband and I live in Charlotte but would love to join a supper club group and meet with other people to enjoy good food and good company. Since I don't see a club yet in Charlotte, we'd be willing to travel to Asheville (one of our favorite places!) to participate since it's not that far from Charlotte. We also love to entertain at home in Charlotte if that's not too far for Asheville people to travel once in a while. Is a group forming in Asheville, and if so, could we participate?

Yeah, looks like Asheville may wind up with a club. I'd definitely be interested!

Would be interested in participating in an Asheville area supper club! Or, is there one already out there? Thanks.

Perhaps all of us interested in an Asheville supper club should get together at a local restaurant to discuss organizing the club. What do you think?

My mom lives in Brevard, and I'm going to see if she would be interested in joining-she's a great cook-and she grows lots of fresh herbs and vegetables.

Hi Stephen! Sorry it's been so long since I've checked out here and did not get your message earlier.
Good idea about meeting at a restaurant. I would suggest you name a fairly centralplace and the rest of us should "be there or be square".
I'll look forward to hearing what's up!

I suggest we meet somewhere downtown like Barleys or Mellow Mushroom (they have big tables) to discuss the club. I can meet either the first full week of September or the third week. I will e-mail this to folks as well in case no one is checking the board.
Let's get this thing going!
