I just recently moved back to Greenville after a few years in New Jersey. I wanted to know if there is a Supper Club in my area and if not, is anyone out there interested in creating one. If so just let me know and we can work something out. I can be reached at leslie_1334@yahoo.com

Look forward to hearing from some friendly chefs out there!!

This is the most action this Greenville thread has had since it started a long time ago. If a group formed, they never posted anything about it. I'm also interested.

That's because we are feeling the first of cooler weather moving in. To replace the sunshine we are all looking for the warmth of good food, good cheer and good conversation and discussion. The interest is here. My pots have been shined! Shall we start working on introductions and area of cooking interests and specialties??

It's good to see the positive response! Does anyone have any suggestions on how and when to meet to start organizing?

Why not round up all parties interested, then pick a 'centralized' location. From some of the thread postings there are folks from Simpsonville to Greer and some in Anderson.
It might also be good to poll all potential members as to type club we want to start, i.e., all cooking light, theme cooking, speciality cooking; also Do we want meet once a month, twice a month. Do we want to establish that the host provides the meat dish and drinks, rotate for desserts, the rest bring side dishes conplimenting the menu that as been established by email or first meeting.
How did they do it for the last Supper Club you were in?

I think once a month would be a good start.
Regarding the type of club, I'm fairly open, but I'd prefer "light" meals and I personally eat a lot of vegetarian dishes and seafood.
I second the idea of the host providing the main course and the others providing side dishes and dessert.
Any other ideas or input?

I usually cook primarily from CL as well. I also like the idea of the host providing the main dish and everyone else providing the rest of the meal. (PS...I'm in Mauldin just so you know one more location.)

We've got 4 potential members now and have set a time to meet, get to know each other, and plan for our monthly gathering.

If anyone else out there wants information on the meeting time/place, please contact me via e-mail.
