Hey! I moved to Atlanta about 2 months ago, and I'm really interested in starting or joining a supper club in the area. I live in Dunwoody, but I'd be willing to drive to midtown, Vinings, whatever. I'm single, so I don't often cook for others, but I love to cook for myself all the time. I'm just out of school, so I'd love to meet some people who like to cook/talk about food as much as I do! Let me know if you're interested! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I'd just like to bump this up in case anyone else is interested; we're forming a supper club right now, and we'd love to add you to our group. If you're interested, either reply to this message on the board, or if you prefer, you can e-mail me directly...my address is in my profile. We look forward to hearing from you! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Hmm...how embarrasing; I seem to have been the only one to respond to my thread!
Well, we have a small group going, and we're planning our first get-to-know-each-other meeting for next Thursday evening at Goldfish. I think this will be a lot of fun, so if anyone else is interested, we'd love for you to join us!

Hi Emily,
I've wanted to become involved in a supper club for sometime now, and would be interested in learning more about your group. I just stumbled on this bulletin board by accident today, I never realized it was here even though I surf cookinglight.com frequently - so don't be offended that you've not received many responses.
Please feel free to email me at jlawrence@taskforce.org and tell me more about yourself and the others in the group.
I'm 33, single, an Atlanta native and cooking is one of my favorite pasttimes - even before eating I think! I work for an international non-profit affiliated with Emory University where I'm also pursuing a masters in public health. I live in Roswell with a room mate who hates to cook! I drive her crazy with the smell of sauteing garlic and ginger or curry powders in some of my more exotic endeavors!!
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi! My best friend just moved to Atlanta, (has no CLUE what the CL bulletin board is) and I was wondering if you ever got your supper club off the ground and if I could possibly tell her about it--she lives in Buckhead and hasn't really met all that many people but definitely likes to cook and eat healthily (and is getting tired of Eatzi's (sp??)). Please let me know how it's going/if she can e-mail you. I would love to join, but I am 3 and a half hours away!

I live in Atlanta in the Midtown area and would like to learn more about this group. I have tried to start supper clubs with some of my friends, but they fizzle out. Keep me posted on fun cooking activities!

Let's start! I am 25 and live in Tucker but I have a rather small kitchen. Maybe we can all meet one day at one of those cooking classes sponsored by Kroger or at www.cookswarehouse.com (http://www.cookswarehouse.com)

Hey!
Has the Atlanta Supper Club gotten off the ground yet? I just moved to Kennesaw over the holidays and I'd love to join.
I'm in an apartment so my kitchen won't do, but I love to cook.
You can e-mail me at ljlarkin@mindspring.com

Gosh, what an avalanche of responses!
I'm so sorry for not responding sooner; I feel so rude http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/frown.gif -- I haven't been checking the board because we'd already accumulated seven people in our dinner group.
I think 13 might be kind of an exhorbitant number of people to have in many of our kitchens (and in my apartment in general), but it seems that since there's an overwhelming bunch of you who are interested in a supper club...at least 6 or seven, you all should definitely try to get a group together. I didn't find that it was at all difficult to pull together once people started e-mailing me, so just try to get in touch with each other...it'll be so much fun. Good luck, everyone! I hope you can get another one started. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I've sent you all an E-mail working on our first get dinner. Anyone else that wants to join us, we're still open! Just email me or post to this board and I will get you on the list. Looking forward to meeting you all!
I am definitely interested in joining a supper club. I live in the Virginia Highlands area and love to cook. I have taken a cooking class through Evenings at Emory and loved it, but am looking for a venue that's a little more hands on. (FYI - there will be a new series starting Feb. 1 at Emory.) A supper club would be a great place to try out new things! Please email me if a second group has started up.

Just checking to see if the 2nd Atlanta group ever got started & if there is room for another. I work in Vinings and live in East Cobb Co. And I love to cook!
Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi! I moved to the Atlanta area in December, and would love to join in a Supper Club! I haven't met too many people up here yet as I have been busy with tax season (I am an accountant).
I live in an apartment off of North Druid Hills and work in Duluth, if anyone is interested in coming my way. My kitchen is a little cramped, but we could try it! :-)
Anyway, if anyone has some room in their group and would be interested -- let me know.
Happy cooking to ALL!

I belong to a monthly weeknight Supper Club with about 6-8 people. We got started last August. Since we meet during the week we do a potluck dinner based on a theme. We take turns hosting around Atlanta. If you're interested in finding out about more information post a request. Our next gathering is on March 26th in Decatur.
