A great job opportunity has us relocating from Maine to northern Vermont. My husband's office will be in Newport. We really don't know anything about the town or surrounding communities. Does anyone have any advice/opinions to offer. We have young children so a good community is important to us.
Thanks, Pam

Hi Pam,
We spend a fair amount of time in Stowe, VT, and DH's family goes back generations in St. Albans. He still has relatives there. I am somewhat familiar with the general area but couldn't offer the perspective of a resident.
There is a website called City Data, that also has a message board. It is fantastic for asking questions about different places. There are Vermonters who frequent that board and would be great at helping you. Plus there are many threads in place that may address your questions.
All the best to you with your upcoming move to beautiful Vermont!
