I'm still doing research for my kitchen renovation next year. I came across a website with both of these types of countertops. Has anyone seen or used these in their homes?

Never heard of them, but I'm intrigued. Can you post the website?
Hoping to get to do my countertops some day........ :)
I looked at them online, but found they were too hard to find and too expensive to justify the hunt. My fear with paperstone was that some brands show the fibers if you sand down for scratching and they are only safe to 300-350 degrees. I was more afraid of scortching them than anything. I understand most glass is even more expensive, and I wasn't sure it would be right for our kitchen (contemporary? scratching? a house full of guys?). I might look again when e get to updating out bathroom (can't wait to raise my midget sink).
Have you checked out the discussions at gardenweb.com's kitchen forum? Not too many there, but may e more than here.

Me too!
Is the paperstone anything like richlite counters?
I can see the paperstone working as a desktop but if it is only safe to 350 then I can't see it in a kitchen at least not one I use.
