Great episode but I guess I was expecting more of a fight be more dramatic.
Nathan's a goner but I'm hoping Peter can regenerate out of astro dust! Mama Petrelli's gotta be pissed.
I wonder who Molly was talking about when she said there was someone scarier than sylar and if that's who dragged his body away?
And I wonder if Hiro's dad is Kinsu and has eternal life. The flag the Japanese warrior was carrying was the same one that was in the sword shop and it matched Nikki's tattoo.
When does volume 2 start?

I'm confused about a few things........What exactly happened to Mama Petrelli and how did Claire get away from her and Nathan? So Nathan was a good guy, and his mom was not? What about Simone's father - he was on the opposite "side" of Mama P. - I'm confused about what each supported. Is it more complicated than good vs. evil? Does Mama P. have a power?
And who was playing Micah lying on the floor? Another shape shifter person, like the woman who pretended to be Nikki/Jessica, or was that just some sort of image, not a real body?
Was this the first time we've heard Mr. Bennett's first name, Noah?
It was pretty cool to have all the heroes together at the end.........

I was disappointed at all the loose ends. Did Matt die? Did Hiro go back in time to do something important because he actually didn't fulfill his destiny of killing Silar? Did anyone else think it was lame that Silar slunk off into the sewer before he was found?
That shape-shifting chick (I forget her name) is able to manipulate her surroundings, so she was able to make an image of Micah on the floor. Wasn't it cool how Jessica helped Nikki?! Claire got away from Nathan and Grandma by jumping out a window and healing herself after she hit the street. Then she went to find everyone else.
I was glad to see that Nathan came around at the end. I was hoping to see what Grandma's power was, too. I was halfway expecting there to be a revelation on the rooftop that perhaps Mr Devereaux (is that his name? I forget) was Nathan and Peter's biological father....remember his "dream" of flying he told Peter about in the episode where Peter found out he could fly? Hmmm...

I think Hiro did kill Sylar and I think his body was taken by whoever Molly said was more evil.
Maybe it was Mama Petrelli? She seems like a puppetmaster.
I don't think Matt will die-but Greg Grundberg is the first male spokesperson for weight watchers so he has a job just in case. :)
Shape shifters name was Candace.

I don't think Nathan is definitely a goner. He could have taken Peter into the sky and then flown away and saved himself.
I think Hiro "joins up" with the samurai that he traveled to because when he showed up to Peter in the subway long ago he looked more samurai.
Don't know who could be worse than Sylar but I'm kinda sorry to see him go, I like the actor.
I read that they will be bringing in more characters and some will just fade out. Not killed, but not shown. Should be interesting.

OMG!!!!! We loved it! and, it wouldn't be a season finale without some cliffhangers!!!!!
Here was my thought to DH last night, "Wouldn't it be cool if Nathan flew Peter out of there far enough that he could drop him and then fly away without getting hurt when he explodes!" DH's response was, "Yeah, but he's gonna have some SERIOUS radiation burns" - I didn't even THINK of that!
I think Matt survives but apparently so did Sylar - I don't think that it was whoever Molly was talking about but I have been known to be wrong in the past.
I LOVED that they went ahead and started season 2 last night at the end with Hiro ending up in HIS heroes timeline - loved it!
How cool that Charles could see Peter when Peter blacked out!!!!! I totally thought Mama Petrelli was going to spill the beans about what power she holds as well.
If you HAVEN'T been keeping up with the online comics you really need to do that! NBC is supposed to be keeping them updated all summer long as well as having a few "webisodes" to throughout the summer.
Oh well, it's done, the DVD's are coming out soon and we will have to wait until the fall to see what's going on but.....it was good while it lasted!!!!!

Hmmm I suppose Nathan could have dropped Peter and they both could live.
I already pre-ordered the DVD's and I do read the comics. I'm hoping there's a bound edition with the DVD set.

I was wondering why Peter didn't just fly away by himself. He's an empath and has absorbed everyone else's powers, so why couldn't he just fly without Nathan?
Great show! I can't wait to see what happens next season, and what characters will return that we already know, since someone mentioned on a previous thread that next season will focus on new characters and storylines.

I thought the same exact thing. He has the ability to fly so why did he have to kill his brother along with himself. The only reason I think he didn't go alone was because the other nuclear power was too powerful.

I don't think Peter could fly at that point - he needed Nathan to take him away. It'll be interesting if one or both of them come back - I think it's possible too. I don't think Peter could come back from exploding but DH thought the radiation came out of his body/hands and he didn't necessarily explode. Good point about Nathan having the radiation burns...but I could see them saying he flew off with hims so fast and dropped him that he wasn't in contact with him long enough to have fatal damage (it is tv afterall). If Sylar lived then I think Peter lives and vice versa. There has to be some sort of balance of powers.
Candace isn't so much a shape shifter as a projector - she can make people she what she wants them to see.
I know, I'm dying to know what Mama Petrelli can do. I wondered about her placing her hands on Nathan when she was talking to him - seemed very deliberate.
I felt all along that Nathan would stay true to the "good side" -- he's more complex than Peter and often keeping his thoughts and actions close to his vest but they've all turned out to be for the "good" side.
Kristi - I thought maybe that Molly was talking about Peter because he would be able to see her too being an empath and maybe just being "seen" was scary. But she obviously found him since Bennett said that's how he found him. Mrs. Petrelli? The Uluruu (or whatever) monster that's been referred too...
I think that's the first time I heard Mr. Bennett called Noah - I remarked on it when I heard it last night but I can't always keep track of what I'm suppose to know!
I wanted them to cut Sylar's head off after Hiro killed him. So I think he could come back.
It'll be a long summer!

I think Mama Petrelli's power is persuasion. Every time someone disagrees with her she touches them and all of a sudden they agree with her.
I hope Peter survived... and I too wonder who Molly was talking about. I can't wait until next fall.
I think Hiro was dropped into a spinoff, not season 2 though (I understand there will be a spinoff during the winter break).

Did anyone else catch a glimpse of what looked like a beetle crawling out of/into the manhole (if that was a manhole) that Sylar crawled/got dragged down into?

Oh my gosh, that was awesome! I didn't know the DVD's were available for pre-order, I have to go do that!
I loved how all the heroes ended up together in the square. I was hoping for more interaction, but loved it just the same. I knew that Nathan was going to come around, but it was thrilling to see how it worked out. I do hope they are okay, they were my favorite. :o There are lots and lots of loose ends, but I felt it was a satisfying end to volume one.
My questions were more about the others we haven't heard from in a while. Where was Hana Gitelman in all this? And where did the Haitian disappear to? We haven't heard from Claude in a while either- except that I think we've been led to believe Sylar might have gotten him.
DH suggested last night that Mr. Deveraux had some sort of "dreamwalking" power, where he could visit other people's dreams and visit past events. Peter's done that a couple of times too. Mrs. P having the power of persuasion could be, but there may be more to it than that.
I can't wait for volume 2. I'm sure there will be many more questions, but once we find out more about "The elders" I think some of them will be answered.

Yeah Hana just kinda vanished didn't she? But I think she was introduced to be more of an online character.
And I thought the Hatian Sensation was killed but I guess that was just in the faux-future.
I miss Claude.

Guess I answered that question- I just got caught up on the graphic novels.
Even though they are available in a printable version online, I hope they offer a printed version of the graphic novels for purchase at some point.

I noticed the cochroach/slug type thing crawling out of the sewer. I was trying to figure out whether it was supposed to be symbolic of Sykar being like a cochroach (slightly indestructable) or that he had turned into one.

It means something... remember way back when Bennet and Eden thought they'd killed Sylar? We saw a cockroach in the cell with him then. So while he seemed dead to all, he actually wasn't. Really makes me wonder about this time. And the little painting in his blood was no accident either I'm sure.

I just watched the episode last night and it was great! Does anyone know if that sculpture in the square is real or created in the show? I thought it would play a bigger role in the fight like Peter would cool down his radiation in the water or he and Sylar would go running up each side of the step and battle it out on the top.
Do you think the Big Bad's power is the ability to control bugs?
I don't think Mr Devereaux is related to them, but I was wondering if Linderman was their dad?
Hatian Sensation- that is funny.
Can they bring back Claude somehow? I loved her.

Claude was/is invisible man.
Hana is "wireless" the girl who can talk with computers. She was only on TV a few times, mostly she's played the starring role in the graphic novels.

Thanks! I haven't read any of the graphic novels.
