It's the last day of school and I forgot to get a thank-you gift for the school bus driver. My girls are in K and 1st grade, and their bus driver is amazing. She runs a really, really tight ship, keeps the kids safe and out of trouble, and everybody loves her, which is quite a contrast from last year, which was pretty much a disaster.

So, any ideas? All I can come up with is ear plugs and a bottle of tequila, but that would probably get us both in trouble. I need a real idea.

For what it's worth, she's a grandmother, probably in her early 60s, and she has a strong personality with a great sense of humor. Definitely NOT a shrinking violet by any stretch.

Thanks your quick help (I've only got until 3:00 today, when the kids get home for the last time this year)!

I was thinking of getting something for our bus driver too. I realized that on staff appreciation day, the bus drivers probably didn't get "appreciated" like everyone else.

I don't know our bus driver at all, but I think my son might have given her a bit of trouble this year and she probably needs a little appreciation from me....... :o :o

I was thinking of baking her something. I don't usually do that for teachers because they seem to get overrun with food, but since I don't know one thing about this woman, I thought a baked good might be safe.

I get pretty much everyone at school gift cards (either to Target or B&N), and all the teachers have told me that they really appreciate getting to pick out their own stuff. I did get the PE coach a gift card to Academy instead. I know it's not terribly personal, but it is appreciated! :)
