Hi All, Need Some Info. They Are Building A Texas Roadhouse Around Here.....can You Tell Me What You Like About That Restaurant. Yes This Was A Rather Small Town At One Time However It Is And Has Been Growing Fast The Last 10 To 15 Years. We Have A Group That Go Out To Eat A Couple Times A Month And Wish To Find Out About New Places To Go And Have A Good Meal.
Thank You,
Val

I like the all you can eat free peanuts in the shell that you can eat while waiting to be served. I hate going somewhere to eat and you starve while wating for your order to come to the table.

My stepson actually worked at the one in Boise for a few months many years ago. They have good ribs and the place was always packed!!! They also have good dinner rolls that are slightly sweet (with honey, maybe?). They bring them to your table no matter what you order.
We didn't eat there too often, but I remember it was mostly ribs and steaks and BBQ type stuff. They are building one in the town where my oldest son goes to college and he is pretty excited :)
BTW, gumbeaux, stepson would come home from work every day with those flippin' peanut shells stuck in the soles of his shoes. It seems like they were on my floors all the time and I finally had to tell him to take his shoes off before coming in the house!

Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite chain places. I think their steaks are really quite good for a casual place. I also really like the rolls that boisewinesnob mentioned, and their chicken dishes are good too. I can't really think of anything I haven't liked there. Enjoy!

The one by us is quite good - better than previous incarnations of that style of restaurant. Definitely worthwhile, and very good prices, too!
I believe Consumer Reports ranked it quite highly in a recent issue about chain restaurants.
If you don't have something nice to say don't say it at all???:p You asked!!
Well, I know all restaurants have this problem, but I would like to pretend they don't. I don't need it to be literally staring me in the face - what I am trying to say it DH and I not so affectionately refer to the place as 'Texas Roach House"
Yuck

It's a pretty good chain, and the one here is always packed. I rarely go there because it's so noisy. The place literally echoes with crashing silverware and trays! I can hear that at my elementary school cafeteria, so I try to find a place where conversation is possible.

'Texas Roach House"
We called it Texas Roadkill, but only because my FIL mistakenly called it that once and we thought it was hilarious.......so it became our name for it :p

Here is the menu in my area. The menu will vary slightly at different locations.

My DH & I ate there once and we were not impressed at all - the mashed potatoes seemed to be instant and the steak was so-so.
