Charlotte, NC Supper Club

We're in the process of starting a supper club in Charlotte - if you live in the Charlotte area and are interested in joining us, we'd love to have you!

I live about 20 miles south of Charlotte and have been part of a CL Supper club in the area for about 6 months. Unfortunetly, due to changes in peoples jobs and other committments we have gone from about 9 members to 3 or maybe 2. I would be interested in finding out more about the group you are starting. Since I live south of Charlotte, I was wondering where the majority of your group lives. I know that one problem with my last group was the distance some of us lived. Several people who were interested lived in north Charlotte and were never able to attend the dinners. Also, is your group only women or is it a couple's club? I am not adverse to having men in the group, however, my husband is not interested in cooking and I have two young children that I prefer to leave with him.

My name is Linda. I read your post and think you probably live in SC, possibly Lake Wylie or Ft. Mill. Right? (I am smart.) I live in Lake Wylie.

This is all new to me, learning to cook the cooking light way, and have never been part of a group like this BUT, it sounds great and a great way to meet great friends, learn, and escape the 'family.'

Let me know if you have come up with a club close by.

We have gotten a group together in the Fort Mill area and our next meeting is tentatively set for April 21st at my home. We are planning to cook the main dish together, and prepare the sides, appetizer, and desert ahead of time. We would love for you to join us. I'm new to Charlotte area. Just bought a house in Huntersville ( exit 23 off I-77 ). Looking for a supper club. I'm single guy; love to cook, run, weights, soccer, anything outdoors. Are you co-ed club ? Would like to hear from anyone re what has developed in forming a club.

There is another group in the Charlotte area made up of couples, that may be your best bet. I hope you are able to find a group in the area.
