Stinky A/C Ducts?????????????

Ok... help please.... my a/c vents are yucky... I have a rambler with the crawlspace. This just started about 2 weeks ago and I had been running the a/c prior to the 'odor' starting up. I have called my local a/c company and they are so backed up and the fact that I have a/c has put in on the bottom of the list. It smells like somebody has put a moldy, wet sponge in the ductwork.. all vents.. so I know it is not a dead critter (first thought,,, I do have evidence of micies)... yuck! It also comes and goes??????????????? I'm going to call the company again tomorrow,,, but any thoughts?? I have done some research online, but the fact that for a few days, no smell and then,,,, BAMMM.. it is back. The outside condensate line is dripping, but wonder if something is backed up in the crawlspace unit............ grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr r.... TIA

You know how sometimes refrigerators collect liquid that starts to stink? I wonder if your AC is somehow doing the same?

If your AC company can't get there, try a duct cleaning service. They have cameras they can send through the ducts to see what's in there, and they can clean it all out for you and hopefully take care of the problem. Maybe it's completely unrelated to the AC unit itself.
