Anyone in the Yardley/Newtown area interested in starting a club? It sounds like a lot of fun...especially if we add wine (& beer - my husband is a homebrewer) tasting along with it!

I have a list of interested people in the King of Prussia area. We are starting later this summer. Is KoP too far?

I'm actually in Princeton but have enjoyed much of Yardley/Newtown... Princeton too far to be included?
I just posted a Princeton query as well. I, too, would enjoy a beer/wine tasting addition and I know my husband-to-be would too.
Starting in fall of 2000?
Let us know!

We justed moved to Buckingham Twp. a couple of weeks ago and would be interested in joining a group in Bucks Co. We have participated in supper clubs in other states we have lived in and have enjoyed the experience.
Keep us posted.

I'm in the Levittown area, and am definitely interested in participating. I agree that beer/wine can definitely add to a meal. Has anyone made any type of definite plans to get together, or do we need to get someone to organize it?

Thanks for all of your replies. I would love someone to handle the organization of starting the club. Perhaps MaryH would be interested since you've been in them before. I've never been in one...could you set us off in the right direction?
Princeton isn't too far, only about 25 minutes (w/o traffic) Buckingham and Levittown work as well..it's actually a good variety of locations! King of Prussia might be pushing it a bit..it's 45 minutes to the mall from Yardley but I'm never one to rule out people..as I live by the "more the merrier" moto! So MaryH or anyone else interested in forging ahead with organizing this? Starting this Sept sounds good to me.
THANKS

Hi, everyone! Thanks for volunteering me, Maureen! I could help get things rolling; once we get organized, each couple is responsible for planning their meal. In the past, we had an initial meeting with the just the wives to discuss dates, possible themes, logistics, etc. Since we don't know each other, we might want to include the guys at that initial get-together, just to get to know each other. As far as the numbers go, I was in one group that had 20 couples, and as many as 25 people might attend. The last group I was in had 7 couples - none of us could seat more than that comfortably! If anyone else has any ideas for getting started, let us know.
Thanks,
Mary
P.S. I volunteer Maureen to host the initial meeting!

Hi There! My husband and I have just moved to the area and I will assume that Newark, Delaware is too far. Therefore, is anybody interested in the Wilmington, DE area? Sounds like a great idea!

Thanks for the info Mary. I've been in e-mail contact with Lisa from Princeton and she's up for it too. I'd be happy to host the initial get-to-know you meeting! September or early October. What date looks good for everyone?? I'm pretty flexible.
Looking forward to getting this started and meeting everyone.
thanks again Mary for the input...
