1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
I really love the beach, but it's been a long time since I have gone to the mountains. My favorite beach is Rosemary Beach, FL and I love the Jackson Hole area.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
I'm a thrill seeker. My favorite ride is the Freefall in Six Flags over GA, but I think they are getting rid of it this year. I would love to go to Cedar Point in Ohio.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
I like museums, but I would choose a play. I went to see La Cage Aux Folles years ago and loved it. My recent favorites have been The Lion King on Broadway and Crowns at the local Shakespear Festival. As for one I would like to see, I just don't know, there are too many to choose.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
I'm not much of a concert goer. The last concert I went to was the Dixie Chicks and I would love to have gone to Jazz Fest in New Orleans this year. Oh, well.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
The strangest place was the Corn Palace in South Dakota.
It's building make of corn and it's like a corn museum. The place that I would never want to go again is Panama City Beach. I went as a child and have passed through several times and it just makes my skin crawl.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

Since I don't care for the heat usually associated with the beach I'd have to say I'm a mountain person. Unfortunately, I've never been to the mountains.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

Definitely a thrill seeker. Favorite was the Texas Cyclone but sadly Astroworld is just a memory these days.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

Hard choice but without knowing anything about the play I'd have to go with museum. The kids and I spent hours and hours each summer at the museum.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

Not a big fan of concerts. Last memorable one was Alabama. No one comes to mind that I'd like to see...

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

The one place I have no desire to go again would be Singapore. While it's a nice place to visit I was stuck there for 2 years.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

I am a mountain person. I would rather go camping in the summer than go to the beach. I'm also redheaded and very pale, hence the reason I don't like sitting on the beach! My favorite place to camp is a little place in central PA called Tall Timber National Park.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

No, I'm a whimp. :D Esp. after seeing that ride last weekend where the roller coaster was stuck upside down for an hour, no thank you!

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

I love art museum's but I love plays and musicals more! My favorite is Miss Saigon and I really want to see the Producers and the Holy Grail.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

All the time! We're going to see the ALlman Brothers in August. I last saw Tom Petty in concert and I would love to see the Beastie Boys again and Pink Floyd (whichever will never happen, sad.)

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

This is a hard one, I'm not sure what the strangest place I've ever been and I've been to a lot of places! .... I might have to think about this one!

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

I love both. We are about to take a trip to Puerto Rico. 1/2 of the vacation will be at the beach and 1/2 in the mountains. I don't have a favorite destination right now.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

As I've gotten older, I'm a wimp. They hurt my back.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

Museum, but DH is an artist so I'm biased. I love any museum of modern art. I love the Menill in Houston as well as the MOMA in San Francisco.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

Yes. Recently saw Yo La Tengo. Right now I'm wanting to see Arcade Fire, but they aren't coming to Houston anytime soon.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

I don't think I have a strange destination. Maybe to Katy, TX after we tried to flee from Rita, ha! It is about 10 min. away, but took us 24 hours to get there and we didn't know the people we were staying with. Very strange. I don't want to go back to Galveston.

I'm a beach person, but only during spring break, otherwise it's too hot for me. I really like Marbella. Spain and Puerto Vallerta.

2. I am definitely not a thrill seeker. I was 18 when I went to Riverview in Chicago and that was the last time.

3. I like both. The Museum of Science and Industry is a great place as is the Field Museum.

4. I like to go to concerts. The last one was The Stones in Chicago last October-freezing cold and windy. I want to see The Stones again.

5. This one is hard to answer, but it would have to be what Do-Lolly said-Panama City Beach. It's really scary there during spring break.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination? Well, living in Tahoe, I get the best of both! We have beautiful beaches along the lake and mountains to hike in. Sometimes you have to hike to get to one of our many lakes in the basin. My favorite destination is a lake up here called Angora. Probably my favorite place on earth.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where? I LOVE rollercoasters. I'd have to pick the classic Space Mountain in Disneyworld as my favorite.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see? Probably a museum. I seem to have a new appreciation for them after reading/seeing the DaVinci Code. I went to the Met in NY. My favorite so far.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see? I really don't go to too many concerts. I wish I did go to more. I would love to see the Police reunion.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again? I really didn't enjoy Napa Valley that well. I thought the staff at the winieries were too snotty and the whole place felt like a tourist trap. I don't think I would go back.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

I am probably more of a mountain person. I am also very fair skinned, and burn easisly, plus I usually get bored at the beach. I 've driven through the Great Smoky Mtn. National Park a couple of times, and thought it was just beautiful.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

Well, I was a thrill seeker. DH and I used to like to go to 6 Flags in Gurnee, IL and just ride all the roller coasters, but since he had a brain hemmorage in 2001, we just think it's probably not a good idea to do those things anymore. Might not be a problem, but that's not a chance I want to take.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

Hmm, I like both choices, but I guess I would probably prefer the museum. I love going to the muesuems in Chicago.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

Yes, love concerts. The last big name concert I think was Aerosmith and Lenny Kravitz, a couple of years ago. But we also love to go to Summer fest every year and check out lots of bands, though I don't consider those to be concerts, per se. Would love to see either the Eagles or Billy Joel again, but one I have never seen but would like to is AC/DC. DH and I just love them. :D

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

Not sure about this one. Not that I've traveled that extensively either. Ok, maybe this is a bit strange. When I used to go to Door County with my parents when I was a kid, there was a restaurant that was known for having goats on the roof. I want to say the name was Al Johnson's, but I always just referred to it as the place with the goats on the roof. :p

Beach or mountains? Definately mountains. Preferably the Sawtooths in Idaho, atop a fit and speedy endurance horse! :D

Thrill Seeker or Green Puker? Thrill seeker. I can't think of a specific favorite, but I love roller coasters.

Museum or play? Hmm, tough choice. I'm a history buff so I love museums, but I'm also a literary type. It's hard to beat the outdoor Idaho Shakespeare Festival.

Concerts? *barf* Not if I can help it. Give me a symphony any day.

Strangest destination? Oh, that's easy. The U.S. Embassy in Gabarone, Botswana. I managed to get all the way to Botswana with an expired passport  They let me into the country, but I had to fly all the way from north to south in a Cessna to get a new passport.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
I am a little bit of both... I get really bored just sitting/laying on the beach - so I would want to be doing something active. But I lovvve water :) I really like the WV mountains, Boone, NC, Algarve, Portugal... I am sure this list could grow easily....

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
I love coasters! Anyone who loves em is making the world's biggest mistake by not heading to Cedar Point which has something like 14 coasters, most of which hold world records in something (check out www.cedarpoint.com)

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
I would pick a play or musical. Art museums bore me to death, science/natural history museums are okay. Les Mis is my alltime favorite.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
Yes, I go to concerts sporadically. I don't really like the cost associated, but they are fun to me. I probably saw DMB most recently :)

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
I did go to Wall Drug on a roadtrip out west... pretty weird. I doubt I will ever go to Ireland again - but it because I loved it so much the first time I went that no subsequent trips could live up to my memory. So I guess I have learned my lesson and won't go back again (or at least not for a lonnng time)!

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
beach - and recently being in punta cana definitely tops my list.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
they're OK. i hate roller coasters. i also worked at disneyworld for a semester so i'm slightly bitter about the whole theme park thing. but i love waterparks!

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
museum - my favorite so far was the matthew barney exhibit at the guggenheim in NYC.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
i loooove concerts! my last show was type o negative. it's my FAVORITE band but it was a terrible show - the singer was sick and i actually left early. ugh. i'm anxious to see the police (august 5!! WOO!).

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
a friend of DH's house up in albany - his house was GROSS beyond gross. we thought it would have gotten better when his GF moved in but it got WORSE! his bathroom was SO disgusting (and we were spending the weekend there...great!) that i'd hold it until we went out to a bar to use the public BAR bathroom. also, i put leftovers from a dinner we had out in his fridge and was so disgusted with the mess inside that i left them there. and it was GOOD food. eew.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
I was born and raised at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming, so I am definitely a mountain person. My favorite destination is anywhere I can do some serious rock-hounding!

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
I get sick on a park swing, so I not a thrill seeker, but I'd like to be!

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
Without a doubt a museum, especially a science-themed museum. My favorite museum is probably the Museum of Nature and Science in Denver for their non-traditional dinosaur displays. I would love to see the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
Love concerts and I'm a bit of a hard rock/heavy metal nut (luckily my husband is as well!) The last one I saw was Queenrsyche's Operation:Mindcrime I & II in Las Vegas. I would love to see Anthrax (with John Bush).

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
Hmmm...the strangest place would probably be Cosmos in South Dakota. It's one of those "weird gravity" areas, and although I know it is all an optical illusion, my balance really got messed up.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination? I can never really decide, as I love them both. Now that I live in the mountains, though, I don't have to make a choice - I can vacation at the beach and have the best of both worlds!

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where? I used to be a thrill seeker, but developed vertigo a few years ago. My latest attempt was the Dumbo ride at Disneyworld, and I had to be helped off:o

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see? I'm definitely a museum person. I like being able to wander at my own pace and focus on the things I want to see.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see? I can't remember the last concert I went to - it was probably before I had kids:eek:

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again? A place I never want to go again - Port Aransas, Texas. It is not particularly strange, but there was just *nothing* appealing about it to me. As far as strange places -- I live in Appalachia, take your pick [insert "Deliverance" music here]!

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

I love just being near the ocean, even though I burn easily (redhead, too), but I also love the mountains! Rocky Mountain National Park, where you can wear shorts and a sweatshirt! My favorite destination is any Sandals Resort -- they treat you like royalty!:
2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
Totally turn green! Even on the carousel:p I hold the packages and people-watch while others ride!

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
That's tough... I've been to some museums I totally liked, and some that bored me stiff. I guess I would have to say plays, though... and I'm seeing Menopause the Musical tomorrow!

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
We occasionally go to concerts... the last one we saw was Kenny Rogers... don't have anyone I'd specifically like to see, though.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
When we were first married, we were traveling to DH's next duty station in Key West, FL. We were lured off the A1A by a sign for "Boiling Springs Lake" but when we got there, it was just a neighborhood! We'll probably never go to Europe again. D

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

I've never techinically been to the mountains, though I'm definately more of a mountain person! I love hiking, and would love to climb around the state of Washington.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

I can do big drops, so I love rollercoasters. Anything that spins in circles will make me hurl in < 1 min! There's one ride at 6 Flag, Great America I love--and of course, can't think of the name!

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

Museum--in a heartbeat. I love the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum, and would love to visit the Met in New York.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

Not as often as I'd like! I last saw "The Fray", and will be seeing (and meeting!) the Goo Goo Dolls at the beginning of July.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

I used to live in the same town that housed the "World's Largest Six-Pack" of beer :) I'll never again visit Daytona Beach. It wasn't even spring break, and the whole place seemed to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination? Uh, hello, do you even need to ask? Mountains of course. About 4 months until opening day at A-Basin and about 5 until the big resorts open. And 5 1/2 until training season starts with the kiddos. :D They're great in the summer too. I went camping 3 weeks ago, for a leisurely trip to Vail 2 weeks ago and will be in Vail next weekend again. They are gorgeous in the summer, I always forget until I take my first summer trip up and then I can't get out of them again.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where? I really enjoy roller coasters but I don't go very often at all. I'm hoping to make it to Elitch's this summer.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see? Hmmm, that's tough. I loved heading to museums when I lived outside of DC and my favorite there was the American History Museum. How can I not like the one with Julia Child's kitchen. I enjoy plays as well but almost never get to go.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see? Not as often as I'd like, partly due to cost, partly due to schedules. My favorite band will be here next week but mom arrives that night so no luck there.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again? Hmmm, that's a tough one but probably whatever town Tom Sawyer's house is in. I remember going there once but it was not something I'd ever be interested in seeing again. Most other places I've been to have been pretty cool.

No, I'm a whimp. :D Esp. after seeing that ride last weekend where the roller coaster was stuck upside down for an hour, no thank you!

Oh My! Where did that happen?

4. I like to go to concerts. The last one was The Stones in Chicago last October-freezing cold and windy. I want to see The Stones again.

I went to see the Stones farewell concert.....in the late 80's early 90's. I guess they changed their mind.:D I have never been so panicked in my life, they had busses that would drive you to the stadium, and the crowds to get on were huge. I now know what it feels like to get swept up and trampled by a crowd.

1. Mountains! And I have only been there once, but Banff National Park has definitely been the best.

2. Not so much a thrill seeker, but hey, I'll happily stay with the kids and go on something tame. :o

3. Plays! My DD1 (7) likes to go to plays with me, so we try to pick things that are on her level. We've seen some great ones, and it's a fun way to spend time with her.

4. I enjoy concerts, but haven't been to one in years. I would love to see Tori Amos again.

5. Custer's Last Stand. Ewwwww. The whole place felt very creepy. Never again!

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

I love the beach but my favorite place in the whole wide world is to be sitting in a lawn chair in about 2 feet of water looking across Meacham Lake at the Adirondacks!!!:)

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

Getting to be a wimp as I get older. I absolutely cannot handle any sort of weird motion ride, like Star Tours at Disney. I also get nauseous at the IMAX theater.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

I really like museums, I'd love to go back to Washington & do the Smithsonian again & also the Holocaust Museum which my kids were too young for the last time we were there.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

I rarely go to concerts but I did go to Billy Joel about a year ago & it was AWESOME!!!

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

The strangest place I've ever been was Belize right before their national elections 4 years ago. There were banners everywhere & it was kind of creepy. It almost felt like a coup could happen at any minute. I'd go back but maybe at a different time of year.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
I like beaches and mountains... but not flat, hot, lie-around-with-margarita beaches -- that bores me silly. I like rocks and bluffs, and wild winds blowing through seagrass, and winter beaches. (I drove out to Lake Huron last winter, once, when I was depressed. There are these big, round rocks on that section of beach, and they were all pearled round with ice -- these huge, round, ice-coated rocks, bigger than I am, rolling round in the green cold waves. It was surreal.) Stony beaches. Running through cold waves, foaming up and soaking me, in warm sun.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
I don't like theme parks -- I hate crowds and lines and oversugared obnoxious children. If I could go to a deserted theme park, and ride rollercoasters by myself or with just a few friends, without standing about for an hour first, I would be happy beyond happy. I don't like spinny rides. I like those little travelling fair rides -- rickety and dangerous and creaking.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
Well, I love theatre. Not big shows (trendy musicals or that sort of thing). Interesting theatre -- thought-provoking theatre -- adventurous risky theatre. I'm actually going to see some this weekend, and saw a show (Pinteresque (http://mtspace.ca/)-- very good!) last night too. This weekend, I'll be seeing a fringe piece, as well as The Company of Fools Interactive Secret Shakespeare Experiment Van Show, (http://fools.ca/node/100) which should be very exciting!

I do like museums, but I have to be in the mood. I really enjoy fun, interactive, kid-aimed museum things, and I love those little local museums you can find some places, full of oddities. I worked at one (http://www.ottawa.ca/residents/heritage/museums/cumberland/index_en.html) for years, when I was in my teens.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
I tend not to enjoy most concerts; I get no excitement out of the giant expensive stadium ones -- jam-packed, and watching these antlike figures on a far distant stage or on the giant screens. Might as well buy the CD or watch MuchMusic, I think to myself. I like little pub shows, and indie bands, and summer festivals -- feeling that performance energy --actually being present in the performers' space. Classical concerts and opera are good too. I enjoyed Tori Amos when I saw her... was that spring 2006? My favourite ever concert performer is Ani Difranco, who's a ball of fire on a stage usually.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
Strangest.... well, touristy places are strange, in my opinion. Places that only seem to exist to give An Experience, and really don't. Resorts -- weird, go and sit in a pool metres from a beach in February -- why??? Niagara Falls, blech. When I go somewhere, I want to immerse myself in it, live there, not visit. Walk around, go down alleyways, sit and drink coffee or wine and watch people.

Can I play?

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
I'm a water person, first and foremost, so I guess it would be "beach" for me. My favorite beaches are all along Lake Michigan--white sand, nice hiking, warm water in the summer.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
NOT a thrill seeker, no way, no how. I did all the rides at Disney that a smallish 5 yo could go on, and that's about my limit.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
I love museums. My husband is a history museum director, so we go to a lot of museums -- art, history, science, children's, you name it. I do like plays, though. We last saw a local production of "The Full Monty" and it was hilarious. They did a really great job.

Avariell--I have a relative who was in both the touring company & Broadway productions of Les Mis (mostly played Grantiere)--I used to love it, but after the 8th or 9th time, it loses something...

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
I use to, but then we had kids! My husband is a musician, so I see a lot of open mic/singer-songwriter type shows. My last real concert was Tony Bennett, which was delightful. I've only been to one "big" concert, and that was Tina Turner, which was awesome. Saw some smaller shows, the Blue Nile, Jonathan Richman, Greg Brown, Luka Bloom. I like those shows best.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
I'd have to say that trip in college to the waste water treatment plant was both strange and one I don't want to repeat. We visited a local prison for career day in high school, and I hope I never have to go back there. Maybe Sioux City, IA, when the pork packing plants are at full tilt and the temps rise to 100--not a pretty smell at all.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
Mountains, though I like the beach too. A mountain cabin near a lake that I can canoe or kayak on... bliss.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
I love roller coasters, but don't care for the most recent incarnations that seem to try to bruise your brain with all force. I like a good coaster with some steep, stomach-turning drops and a couple of smooth loops.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
Again, I like both, but I'd pick a museum. I've been to A LOT of museums in my line of work- my favorite was the Barnes Foundation outside of Philadelphia, with its beautifully displayed collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist art.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?
Not often- I think the last one was a Barenaked Ladies concert three years ago. I would have LOVED to see the Police this summer.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
I can't really think of a strange destination, nor a place I don't want to visit again!

Avariell--I have a relative who was in both the touring company & Broadway productions of Les Mis (mostly played Grantiere)--I used to love it, but after the 8th or 9th time, it loses something...

i have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat since i was about 10 years old!!! i don't think i could ever get sick of the music :) i think i have only seen it 3-4 times though :)

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

Mountains, but I enjoy the beach every now and then too. I loved Yosemite and can't wait to see the Grand Tetons this summer

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

Definitely not a thrill seeker!

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

A play. I don't really have a favorite. I'd like to see something thought-provoking.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

I love concerts. Technically, my last concert was DS's high school band concert where he played a clarinet solo. As for famous acts, last summer we saw the National Symphony Orchestra, Chicago, and Celtic Woman. DD and I had pit seats for Celtic Woman. My goal is to see Bruce Springsteen again sometime.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

I will never go tent camping at Myrtle Beach in the middle of July again. It was 100 degrees and too hot to relax.

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?

Mountains -- but my favorite are mountains by the sea, which is why I like the coast of Maine.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?

Absolutely no thrill rides for me! Many years ago, an old BF persuaded me to ride the Tilt-a-Whirl at one of the amusement piers on the Jersey Shore. I barfed all over him

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?

I like both, but if I had to pick, think I'd choose a museum. My favorite is the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC; my favorite here in Boston is the Museum of Science, mainly because DS likes it so much.

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see?

I don't get to concerts very often. Last big show was Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Who would I like to see in the future? Bruce and the band!

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?

Not sure about the strange destination -- when I was a kid my parents dragged us to Wheatland, home of James Buchanan. As for where I'll never go again -- I'm with Cumulus, Daytona Beach! I had the misfortune to live near there for part of a year many years ago, and I have very little good to say about it.

I'm with you on this. I adore rollercoasters, and will ride any one that is in front of me, but the new ones seem to be about how many loops, and twists you can fit in one ride. Or, they are novelty, like standing up, or hanging below. The ones that give the biggest thrills are still the ones that have some high drops and maybe a loop or two. I love the older coasters either wooden or steel. One of my all time favorites just had one loop, that's all. It went from 0 to 65 in seconds, did one loop and the did the same thing backwards. That was a thrill. The other thing I love is when they take the old wooden coasters and turn the cars around so that you are facing backwards. That's a lot of fun too. I need to find out which weeks they are doing that this year.

These questions assume I have had a life outside my children - I'm sheepish that these are hard to answer for me. :(

1. Are you a beach person or a mountain person? Where is your favorite destination?
I am a BEACH person, and loved the national park in Cozumel Mexico - the beach is on a natural lagoon. It was filled with tropical fish and sea water but no currents to worry me about my kids.

2. Theme parks: are you a thrill seeker or do you turn green when the breeze blows hard? Thrill seekers, what’s your favorite ride and where?
Thrill seeker! Can't wait to go back to Disney World and hit ALL the high end rides with my oldest DS.

3. Given the choice between a museum, or a play, which would you pick? What has been your favorite, and what would you like to see?
A play! The best: I saw the Corn is Green in London when I was 13, with Deborah Kerr. Would love to do something like that again..........

4. Do you go to concerts? Who did you last see and who would you like to see? I think my last concert was Annie Lennox and Sting - Annie BLEW ME AWAY. I've always wanted to see Harry Connick Jr. in concert, provided he had a great venue.

5. What is the strangest destination you have ever been and/or where is a place you will never go again?
I covered rural courts in Manitoba for a time, and some of those small impoverished towns with a 100% unemployment rate were really really depressing. And cold. And conducting court in the cafeteria of an arena was odd. I wouldn't mind not doing that again.

1. Beach person (I grew up 15 min. from the Jersey Shore). I don't have a favorite destination yet, though I was truly stunned by the beauty of the Caribbean when I went a couple years ago.

2. Ugh - no thrills for me, thanks.

3. I'm torn between two things that I really enjoy. I'd have to go with museum. I enjoyed what I saw of the MET and would like to someday see the whole thing. I unfortunately showed up there a half hour before closing.... I love to watch friends and acquaintences perform in plays. It makes the moment more special.

4. I do go to concerts. I saw Toby Keith last August... painful memory - XBF broke it off the next day... I much preferred the Kenny Chesney show we saw last May when we were still in love.

5. Strangest destination.... Roseau, Dominica, and no, I would never go there again. XBF was attending medical school on the island and we thought it would be nice to check out the capital "city." Can we say culture shock? Poverty? Anxiety? Fearful of my safety? No thanks!

My favourite ever concert performer is Ani Difranco, who's a ball of fire on a stage usually.

Another Ani fan!!!!! I saw her twice and was so awestruck to actually here her perform in person. Unfortunately she's not touring anywhere near me this summer.
