Supper Club - Central MA, Also close to RI

I am interested in starting or joining a supper club in this area. Is anyone else interested or do you know of one already in existence around the North Smithfield, Douglas, Uxbridge, Worcester area? I am also only 30 minutes from Providence, RI, so that could work too.

So far it looks like there are three of us. Do you want to arrange to meet for coffee or something and then others can join later or would you rather wait to see if there are more people interested. Either way is fine with me. I am thinking that there must be others in this area who may be interested, but summer time is pretty hectic. Also, there are 3 or 4 people looking to start a club in the Springfield-Westfield area. How far would you two be willing to drive? I am not even sure of how far that is for you. It is about 50 minutes from here which I didn't think was that bad considering we would probably be getting together once or twice a month and alternating locations.

This is completely off topic and hopefully you guys won't be annoyed. I am most likely moving to the area in the next 60 days or so. I have two small children and work outside the home. I have been doing searches online and thought that N.Attleboro and Plainville? looked good. We are small town people--looking for good schools, a small town feel, real estate we can afford and access to decent child care. Any thoughts? Even a quick note would be appreciated. I have lived in NH my whole life and feel like we are moving to the moon or something--it's so new!

Hi Kristi -

A good friend and colleague of mine lives in North Attelboro, and she loves it. They have three children and are extremely involved in the community. The home prices range from between 250,000 and 350,000 to get into a good family driven neighborhood. She said that there are after school explorer programs, that extend the school day to 6:00 in needed. She also said that if your children are smaller, that there are good full time daycare options. We you be interested in being in a cooking club after you moved and git settled? Let us know.

That's great! Would you be interested in hooking up with the Ludlow, Westfield group or starting a separate one? Four of us did meet on the 15th and scheduled the first get together in Westfield on 9/23 at 5:00pm. It took Julie and I about an hour to get there. I don't mind the ride considering we would meet once a month at alternate locations, but I'm not sure of how you feel about it. Let me know what your thoughts are. I will fill in the others and am sure that if you want, we could arrange for at least Julie and I to meet the two of you for coffee or dinner to fill you in on the details.
