View Full Version : ? on Frozen Ravioli vs. refrigerated

I'm doing some clean out of the freezer/frig. and for tonights dinner I'm going to make a Ravioli Lasagna in a skillet on the stovetop. The recipe calls for refrig. ravioli but I only have frozen. Stupid question but how would you convert? It calls for putting the sauce and some water in the skillet and bring to boil and add the ravioli and then add the other ingredients and cook for another 10 minutes over low heat, covered. My bag of frozen says not to defrost and cook for 5 minutes.

Should I just put them in the sauce at frozen stage? I don't want overcooked pasta.

Thank you for your help.

I would put them in frozen, and take a nibble/poke with a fork after five minutes. You can usually tell by looking at them if they're close to being done.
