Hehe! My mom turned 55 last week and I keep telling her to watch for the senior citizen discounts and she can't do it yet. She arrives for a visit in less than 12 hours for a visit :D :D so I'll be sure to share yoru story.

:D :D :D
DH is 17 years older than me and I was THRILLED when he qualified for AARP because the wife gets benefits no matter what her age :D :D :D
Of course, I just turned 50 in May and K-mart deems me a senior now for Rx stuff
Senior citizen days are the only good thing about getting older. Heck, it's worth an extra 20 % off! Tell your mom to go for it. I didn't know that K-Mart gave discounts; I will have to check into it.

Doesn't that just make your day? I really enjoy getting ID'd for beer/wine when I'm double the legal age. OK, it doesn't happen often, but.....

That is hilarious. You mean, you go from being excited to being carded for buying alcohol to being excited for attempting to get a senior discount? :D At least it gives me something to look forward to. Goodness knows I don't get carded for looking younger 21 anymore.
