Morning everyone!
This weekend we are gearing up to rip off our deck and put a new one on and I'm SO excited! I can't wait to have a new, bigger deck with my hammock swing, plants not bunched in a corner and to put out new landscaping. SO excited! Other than that we should head to Philadelphia for a friends 30th birthday and clean. Fun fun. I am also on the never ending mission to find a dress for my mom's wedding.
What are you all up to?

Hi Linsley. Good luck with the deck (um, guess what I just typed by mistake..........? :o :D ) project. I hope it goes smoothly!
We're headed to the Philly are tomorrow too - to fly to Montana and Wyoming.
First stop is New Hope to drop off Bailey. I'm so happy that SIL offered to take care of him so he won't have to spend 2 weeks at the kennel.
Then off to Wilmington, DE to spend the night at the in-laws because we have a 7:00 AM flight on Sunday morning! ACK!
So, today is a little harried trying to get ready. I'm also starting to feel travel stress creeping in. I do not do well with the whole driving to the airport and trying to catch a plane on time thing. I much prefer driving and being on my own schedule. DH knows what a grump I am on travel day, so I'm sure he's looking forward to it. I'll try to put my best attitude forward and spare everyone. :o
Wouldn't you know it - they scheduled the very last baseball game of the season for tonight. I'm tempted to skip it, but I'd be hanged for sure. ;)
Have a great one everyone. I hope my mom brings her laptop so I can check in over the next couple of weeks. :)

Hi Linsley!!
Thanks for starting today! I was going to start when I got back from the store if nobody else had, so you beat me to it!!
Already out running errands for the day. Haven't had a car since Tuesday.. DH & then DS#2 needed work done on theirs so since they have to get up & go to work every day, they get mine. Finally got my car back last night! I'm back in business!!!
Pretty quiet weekend around here... DS#2 leaves for London on Tuesday so I'll be busy helping him get ready to go. We also have a graduation party to go to tomorrow night. Some kid that DH coached in rec basketball some years ago (DH is friends with the parents, I've only met them once). Fortunately, we're going with another couple who are good friends of ours so I'll have someone to hang with. Otherwise, that would be rather awkward since it's a different school district than the one our kids went to, so there'll be no parent overlap.
Going to be cool here this weekend :) but it's going back up into the 90's next week:(
Linsley, that's exciting about your new deck!!! It's always fun to have a cool home improvement project in the works, one that you'll really enjoy & get a lot of use out of!!!
Alysha, have a great vacation!! We'll miss you while you're gone!

We were given 4 free tickets, including a parking pass, to see the Everett Aquasox (http://www.aquasox.com/) baseball game tomorrow night. Weather permitting we will be at the game. :D

Hi everyone!
This weekend Erin has 2 parties tomorrow. A birthday and a graduation. Both are pool parties so she'll just go from one to the other. Then she is sleeping over a friend's and they are both walking in a breast cancer walk tomorrow.
Andy and I are going to a free concert on the Esplanade tomorrow night (where they have the Boston Pops July 4th concert that's televised nationally every year). It's Johnny Rivers (Andy wants to see him - who knew Johnny was even still alive!) but it will be fun to go into town with the weather so perfect.
I need to get out and run and/or do my supplemental strength exercises. I've been sick this week and haven't done anything. Honestly if I didn't know better I'd think I had mono. Our medical director didn't help me any by saying that his adult daughter has it, his neighbor has it and he just diagnosed a 54-year old patient with it.
Linsley - your house must be almost all set! You are always doing something to it!
Alysha - I stress about not knowing all the airport/airline rules about what you can and cannot bring. The high school band is going to Florida for the Macy's New Year's parade this year and the rules have changed since we went to the Rose Bowl parade which was the last time I've flown.
Sue - we are also having a cool weekend. I almost wish it was warmer. I hope you enjoy the party.

Sue - Doesn't it feel good when you have your own wheels again? I don't even like having to drive DH's car, much less have no car to drive. :)
DMOrtega - Enjoy the game. I'll have the peewee version to enjoy tonight. ;)
Loren - Hope you are feeling better and up to full strength. Enjoy the concert.
I've been reading up on all the rules and regulations. I think we're covered.
Okay, I MUST NOT allow myself to get sucked into this board all day long. I'm off to mow the lawn............

Hi Linsley.
Then off to Wilmington, DE to spend the night at the in-laws because we have a 7:00 AM flight on Sunday morning! ACK!
I hate those early morning flights!!! I never sleep well the night before... it's that old "what if we have a power outage & the alarm doesn't go off & I miss the plane" paranoia...
The only good part is that when you're flying west you still have most of your day to enjoy!

Morning all (oops it's afternoon now!!)
Now that school is out I think I'll be able to klatch a bit!!! We actually don't have any plans this weekend. We're putting in a pool in 2 weeks - July 5th is the big dig. So I need to move some plants around so they don't get destroyed. This was a huge decision on our part - DH wanted this badly!!! We're going to have pavers around the pool - we need to wait until next year to do a patio as well - mucho dinero:o
Alysha - Have a great time out west!! I've never been out there but DH wants to go in 2 years. How long will you be out there? Take lots of pictures!!!;)
Linsley - woo hoo for the new deck! Are you guys doing it yourselves? I love the idea of a hammock swing!!!
Loren - Florida next year huh? Shorter flight than to California!!;) Hope you're feeling better. Enjoy Johnny Rivers - it is supposed to be beautiful weather for the next 2 days for the HHH comes in!!
Suebear - Is your son going to London to stay or for vacation? (sorry I've been MIA on the klatch for awhile!)
Off to make pizza dough!!!

We're headed to the Philly are tomorrow too - to fly to Montana and Wyoming.
I was born, raised and still live in Wyoming (30 miles from the Montana border!) so I just HAVE to know where you are visiting!
This weekend I'll be getting the last few boxes unpacked from our move to prepare for the in-laws next week.
Then off to Wilmington, DE to spend the night at the in-laws because we have a 7:00 AM flight on Sunday morning! ACK!
Alysha - I feel your pain! We leave for Disney World on Tues AM on a 6:15 AM flight! I have to take Baxter to the kennel on Monday afternoon. He's never spent a night away from the house in the 2 1/2 years since we adopted him, so I'm already feeling guilty about leaving him. :(
Anyway, have fun on your trip!
Charisse - good luck with the pool building! Let me know if you guys are coming in for any Spikes games this summer! :)

Charisse, that is so cool you are building a pool! Enjoy!
Sue, I'm sure Baxter will do fine! Have fun in Disney!
Alysha, Have fun on your trip and if you make it to Whitefish, there are several people there from Selinsgrove! I believe my friend Brandy works in the health food store there.
Sue, enjoy your party!
Loren, enjoy the concert, that sounds like fun and the weather is absolutly perfect!
Well, once we replace the deck we have the little mud room to redo (drywall, new floor, siding and roof) and that's it for the summer. In the fall the front porch will get tiled with a new roof. And that should about do it for the exterior!
DH is a contractor so we are very lucky in that respect!

I'm so jealous...I want a hammock too...we finally got our renovation permits yesterday so as of July we'll be in full renovation hell! lol...of course, I'm excited to get started but I'm not excited for having my house turned upside down until November...not so bad for now since we'll be starting with the outside but then we have all the rest - changing the kitchen, the floors for the entire house, ceramics in kitchen, a brick wall, the front door, a new patio door, installing a new shower...I'm stressed just thinking about the MESS!
This weekend is a long weekend for us so we're taking full advantage since we have 2 more weekends of freedom this summer until the renovations start in July...next weekend is a long weekend too for us Canadians...so this weekend we're boozing it up, complete with pizza and key lime pie on Saturday night with friends - the rest of the weekend will probably be spent doing our last minute shopping for granite for the kitchen since it's the only thing left to be picked out. Next weekend we're going to DH parent's chalet with our best friends for 3 whole days of complete relaxation and absolutely no healthy food! I can't wait...
On another note, I haven't been around much on the boards these days...it's been craziness at work and I feel like a chicken running around without a head...it's calming down a bit these days so you'll be seeing me around more often...
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! :D

Nope, it's his first trip over there. Somehow it seems unfair that both my kids will have gone to Europe before I got the chance to go!!! ;)

Hi all! Happy Friday!!!:D
I worked today and am just checking in before I head to dinner group at Katie's (KNunes) house. We have a clam bake tomorrow in the neighborhood and on Sunday are getting together with the in-laws for Father's Day, FIL's birthday and his retirement. Whew!
Alysha - Have a wonderful trip!
Erin - Be sure and post pics of your renovation ... especially the kitchen! :p

Quick check in even though I really should be still getting ready.........
I hate those early morning flights!!! I never sleep well the night before... it's that old "what if we have a power outage & the alarm doesn't go off & I miss the plane" paranoia...
The only good part is that when you're flying west you still have most of your day to enjoy!
I don't sleep well the night before no matter what time we're leaving AND we'll be at someone else's house (I don't sleep well away from home), so I'm pretty much doomed not to sleep much that night at all. Yes, flying west is nice, flying back home....not so much.
Alysha - Have a great time out west!! I've never been out there but DH wants to go in 2 years. How long will you be out there? Take lots of pictures!!!;)
It will be nice to have you back klatching again. :) We will be gone for almost 2 weeks.
I was born, raised and still live in Wyoming (30 miles from the Montana border!) so I just HAVE to know where you are visiting!
We are hitting Missoula, Glacier Park, Great Falls, Bozeman, then down to Yellowstone and flying out of Jackson Hole.
Where did you grow up?
Alysha - I feel your pain! We leave for Disney World on Tues AM on a 6:15 AM flight! I have to take Baxter to the kennel on Monday afternoon. He's never spent a night away from the house in the 2 1/2 years since we adopted him, so I'm already feeling guilty about leaving him. :(
6:15 - ACK! I know, it's so hard to leave the dog. But at least he'll be with family this time - but I know that he'll still be freaked out about it - he pretty much hates any change in routine. And his "cousin" - a yellow lab - is very energetic and pretty much wants to wrestle 24/7, so poor Bailey should be really worn out by the time we get back.
Have a GREAT time in Disney.
That would be nice! We'll be moving back to Selinsgrove soon, but that might still be too far! :D Enjoy Arts Fest, I miss that and haven't been in years!
You and Sue and I still need to try to get together! If you move back this way, it will be pretty easy to do!
Hi Erin and Lauren. :)
Okay, back to work. I am the WORST procrastinator lately........

I always stay at DBF's house before a flight since it's only about 20 minutes to the airport: I totally remember that getting up super early to go to the airport and the whole thing felt so...weighty. Oh well - sounds like a nice trip!
The clambake sounds like a lot of fun, Lauren - enjoy!

Glacier Park is awesome! We're planning to take the in-laws to Yellowstone next week during their visit. Enjoy your trip!
I grew up in Sheridan which is in the northeast part of the state at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains.
