Once again, I am looking for a recipe that I can't locate on the web-site or archives. Perhaps CL hasn't even done one yet.

I'm just trying to find a dumbed-down (Read, lite) version of greek lamb gyros with the cucumber sauce.

Can you point me in the direction or post one? Forgive me for this second question: I just tried looking all over for it and can't locate it.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Opus, I had posted a recipe for Turkey Gyros on thread topic "ground turkey dishes" posted by acorreia (it's about half way down on the main BB page). It's a low fat meal that tastes great and you could certainly substitute the ground turkey for lamb. Let me know if you can't find the recipe (if you're interested) and I'll post it again.

The recipe above is a good one with a couple of suggestions:

Remove the seeds from the cucumbers before grating, and put the grated cukes in a cloth and wring them out.

Also, put the yogurt in a stainer over a bowl, and let it "de-water" an hour or so.
