¡Hola from Cozumel!

Hi everyone on the BB.
Yes, I actually made it down here to Cozumel, Mexico. It took me a day or two to believe I was here. Things are fine. It is hot and humid, of course. It has threatened to rain for the past few days, but nothing has happened yet. I hear Jamaica had a huge thunderstorm, so I know we are not immune. The island is beautiful, the waters are clear and the buffets are all-you-can-eat. I went on a tour to see Chichen Itza which was wonderful. The Mayan artwork really is beautiful (though the poverty is heartbreaking) and I would love to go again. Right now I am recovering from mild Montezuma's revenge (if that is what they still call it) so I guess I am getting the full experience in a way:rolleyes:

OOoh, have fun! I don't even know if you'll check back to see this, but if you have the opportunity to take an tour with Alltournative, I highly recommend them. They put together awesome tours!

Glad you're having such a good time Lily! From someone who's been thinking this week that 'I really need a vacation' I'm living vicariously so have a good time for me too!

It's been great here, if only because I got away from everyday life for a while.Unfortunately there isn't time to book another tour, but I will check into Alltournatives. I think I saw a tour van for them outside Chichen Itza. I would love to see that part of the country again, esp. the Xcaret nature reserve --that is more my style than beaches and maragaritas. But if that's what I get, then, sheesh, I have to accept my burden:p
