Free Concert @ Central Park NYC (7.7.07)

hey everyone! not trying to SPAM or anything, but i just finished up making some fliers for DH's cover band. they're playing a free concert at central park and i'm really psyched! it's a rock band, and it's a lot of fun. and i figured maybe it's an excuse to meet some of the NY BBers! let me know if you have any questions, and i'd LOVE to see some of you there :)

WOW that's really cool. I was going to ask what does your DH play, but I checked out their myspace page and it sounds like a little of everything! My own DH is looking to join a band, he plays the drums & guitar also dallies on the bass & mandoline (LOL, the stringed instrument not the food chopper!) If you guys ever get up this way (SOON, right? :D ) our DHs can jam while we sip mojitos and talk Project Runway!! Although I do play a mean cowbell. And you know my DH is gonna slip some GNR in there right?

i think they play a little GNR. DH plays almost every instrument (i dunno about the mandoline though!) but in this band it's just guitar, keys, and some vocals. he's very talented (and i swear, i'm not partial!). the original band that he's in is called mad machinery (mad-machinery.com or myspace.com/madmachinery) which is great because he writes stuff, but in westchester county, you have to be in a cover band to play in the bars. it's kinda lame, but it's a lot of fun for people to hear all the songs that they love.

that kind of party sounds like exactly what i need! i swear that all of our weekends are booked with more weddings, baby showers, and other stuff that isn't as fun as PR and mojitos! as for cowbell skills...i have a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell!

(and about the band name...there is no jake, and none of the guys are mountain men. heheh!!)
