Hi everyone, I'm cheating. Since I didn't see a thread for yesterday or today, I figured I'd just add the holiday in there as well. Everyone keeping busy this week? Yesterday, I did a Power Yoga class. I feel like I'm still untwisting from that one...but it was awesome! This morning, I did a full workout with weights.

Tomorrow morning, I'm going to attempt a 1.5 hour cycling class. We'll see what happens. I'll report how far I made it afterward. :D

Next??!?

Hi Melanie! Good idea to combine several days' worth into one thread. Even though it's summer, I find myself not posting as often for whatever reason..

Today I rode the bike and did a full-body weight workout. Yesterday was a nice bike ride. The gym has cancelled classes for tomorrow, so I will have to do cardio on my own. I'll be back tomorrow to post that:)

On July 4th I did the eliptical for 50 minutes and then weights for my upper body. Now I can enjoy the day!!!

Good workout, tigermorris! I did some elliptical today too, along with some time on the treamill and the bike, to mix things up. Worked up a good sweat, so I'm going to hit the showers and then start cooking for our BBQ tonight.

Enjoy your 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!!

I successfully made it through the 1.5 hour cycling class this morning...and the obligatory trip to the pool. :D I am officially exhausted and am headed out to a cookout.

Anyone else get a chance to work out today?

Good job on your exercising Melanie, tigermorris and Sheila! You all have really done some work today...especially for a holiday.

We are actually OOT on vacation, but I had a chance to get online this evening, so thought I'd post. Yesterday I did about 4 mile run in the AM, then we went sightseeing and took a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG walk to see the various sites. It was fun, but I was beat last night. Today I went for a 2 mile walk and called it good. :D

Hope you are all having a great 4th! :)

This was a really fast week! I can't believe it's Friday!

I did a wimpy 30 minutes on the treamill yesterday morning but did a full workout this morning.

Kathy, can't wait to hear where you're enjoying your vacation. If you posted it earlier, I missed it. I have no idea if I'll get a vacation this summer or not so I'm living vicariously through other folks! :D

Anyone else worked out in the past couple of days???

I did the same 45 min of hills on my bike yesterday and today. I thought I was going to have a heart attack yesterday when I did some of the hills because my heart rate was through the roof. I had a couple of really bad weeks but hopefully this will get me back on track.

Hi Robyn! Good job on getting out for a ride. It always bugs me when I take a few days/week off from working out and it feels like I'm starting all over when I get back to it:o My kids are both training for their fall sports so I haven't had a chance to be much of a slug.

Today was 30 min on elliptical and full body weights plus some ab work:)

I'm also looking forward to moving into my new place as it has a small but adequate fitness area so I can do more than some push ups, sit ups, lunges etc for strength. I wish I had kids or a hubby to help motivate me or least do things with.

Minky, how old are your kiddos?

Robyn - DS1 is 16 and DS2 is 14. DS2 runs X-C and track, and DS1 plays soccer, basketball and golf. Between all the running and weight lifting, I've been spending lots of time at the gym. I can send them over for a few days, but you'd lose money on the groceries:D

Ha! I went to North Jr High in Boise and ran x-country and track there along with basketball. Are you in that area of Boise?

We used to live near Hillside Jr. High, but have lived in Meridian (Eagle Rd/Overland area) for almost 12 years. Have you been here recently? If not, you'd be amazed at all the growth!

I was there a year and a half ago for my step-sister's wedding and was amazed at what I saw, although it wasn't much. I lived up in Foothills East most of the time but also in the North End when I was younger. Bogus Basin is where I spent my ski racing career. I haven't lived there since 1991.

Good going with those hills!

I did a yoga class yesterday morning and did 40 minutes on the treadmill this morning. My vacation(?) is over and it's back to work tomorrow...as well as school. I'm enjoyed the flexibility of going to the gym whenever it suited ME versus when it fit my work/school schedule. Oh well. Back to reality.
