I have a Nikon CoolPix 5600 digital camera. I can use it for regular photos and video w/sound.

How do I get the video off of the camera so I can enjoy it? Right now, I save the video's along with my photo's on my computer but I would love to be able to make a CD/DVD of a whole bunch of different videos and pop them into my DVD player -is this possible?

Great question! I am in the market for one as well. I am excited to see the responses that you get.

The camera should have come with a USB cable and a video cable. The USB cable will allow you to transfer movies from the camera to your computer. The video cable will allow you to transfer the movies on your camera directly to your television.

You would use the software that comes with your CD/DVD burner to do this.

I know I have the cables and most likely the software, so I will explore both of these more once DH gets home. Thanks!!!

Is it true that you shouldn't save photos on your computer and even discs won't last forever? I have photos and video of my kids since they were babies and am wondering if I should print copies of everything.
