Our best friends just built a house and they take possession tomorrow so they're having a little party tomorrow night...I'm not sure what to get them as a housewarming gift...they have EVERYTHING - I really tried to think of something they don't have but seriously they have everything! I was thinking a really good bottle of wine or a plant or a nice frame...they have a stocked bar already so a bottle of booze will just sit around...I even offered to get the champagne for the party but they already took care of it:( ...any other original ideas?

A certificate for one "personal chef'ed dinner for two?" Frozen tray of cinnamon rolls to set aside in the freezer for leisurely celebratory brunch, instructions included? Some other food specialty of yours? Something you are good at making that you could give them a certificate to create for their new home (embroidery, scented lavender wands, commemorative scrapbook, etc.)?

I have a friend in a similar situation, and I was thinking of giving her some flowers seeds and bulbs, gardening gloves, and maybe a gift certificate to a garden center. (My friend loves flowers, especially tulips). What about something like that?

Although you wouldn't be able to take it with you tonight - I think having a drawing of the house is always a great gift for a housewarming. You could always take a bottle of wine tonight and give the drawing to them later.

Here's a website of someone near me that does them if you want to see the idea... www.sketchesbybeth.com

Here's a link to a post that I think has a really sweet tradition.
