I'm not sure how many of you have already seen this, but I can't stop listening to it, no matter how much it makes me cry.
Tim McGraw sang a song at at the 2007 ACM Awards which is actually a letter from a soldier to his wife at home. It's called "If You're Reading This..." . I've never been a huge Tim McGraw fan, but this is the most amazing thing he's ever done. Even if the words weren't so touching, the music is beautiful to listen to as well.
No matter what each of our individual feelings are about this war, I think all of us support our heroes fighting overseas. I believe this song says it all.

Thanks for sharing Jewel! I like Tim McGraw and I especially like to hear more from the soldiers than from the media. They are doing something extraordinary that has a huge direct impact on their families and themselves. This was really nice to hear.

You're right. No matter how each of us feels about the war we have to support the men and women fighting.

One thing about Tim McGraw is, he knows how to choose songs. He doesn't generally write his stuff, that I know of, but he certainly can choose the songs that will be hits, or that strike a chord.
My favorite recording of his, "Live Like You Were Dyin' " sounds like it was tailor-made for him. I love the sentiment of that song.
Sorry for the slight hijack. I think this video/song is great too!

TieKitty, my prayers and best wishes are sent to your son, as well as prayers to you, his mother, for strength to carry you to the day he returns to your arms, safe and healthy. God bless him, and all those who serve.

TieKitty, my heart goes out to you and your family, and my prayers are with your son. I hope that he comes home safe.
I never meant to throw politics onto the board, but in my opinion politics and supporting our heroes are mutually exclusive. This song shows exactly how loved they are. This song was sung on that awards show when the whole country was talking about Paris Hilton and what kind of jail time she was going to receive. Priorities maybe?
