I need to get a new pair of tennis shoes for walking. It's been years since I have bought a pair. Does anyone have any recommendations?

My number one recommendation would be to go to a dedicated running shoe store (NOT foot locker, which is just a glorified shoe dept a la Target and their employees, in my experience, don't know squat). A reputable store will talk to you about what kind of walking you're doing and will watch you walk to see if you pronate, etc. Then you can try on sevearl different styles, walk/run around, and find what suits you. You should be looking specifically for a running/walking shoe---I'm assuming you're using "tennis shoe" as a generic term, because actual tennis shoes are constructed quite differently than walking/running shoes. FWIW I have cross-trainers for aerobics nad a paid of Saucony Grid Stabiles for walking.

Yes I was using the term "tennis shoes" as a generic term. Man I'm old.

Don't say that! I'm only 30 and I call 'em tennis shoes! :D I agree, go to a running store and talk to the experts.
