Does anyone have any recommendations on types/brands of pineapple cutters? I love fresh pineapple and get really tired of using a regular knife to core and peel them. I'm ready to get one, soon! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Hi, I just found a pineapple cutter today on Cooking.com while I was searching for other gadgets. They have a search to make things easy, btw , this is an EXCELLENT cooking site. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Ok, everyone, I'm still looking. All I've been able to find on the web so far is one that is just a corer, from cooking.com. I thought I understood that someone makes one that is a corer, peeler, and slicer all in one. Has anyone heard of this?

I think I saw that peel, core etc pineapple gadget late one night on shopping channels
Try chefscatalog and other websites just in case

I use what I think is called a grapefruit knife - it's finely serrated on both edges, is slightly curved and very flexible. It works great.

Several years ago my mom went to Hawaii and brought back a corer/peeler.
I just remember her being disappointed in it because it either peeled too much off the large pineapples or not enough off the smaller ones.
If you still are interested in one I think I saw them at Wms. Sonoma last week.
